“Toledo Blade: ‘Special Squads of Police’ Should Disarm Americans”

Like Hitler's Gestapo? What liberal girly-men who are oh-so-afraid of guns are you going to hire to do this dirty deed?

This guy is just "coming out" of his Utopian closet. He's believed this for years, no doubt.

The Lord is separating the sheep from the goats.

"The disarmament process would begin after the initial three-month amnesty. Special squads of police would be formed and trained to carry out the work. Then, on a random basis to permit no advance warning, city blocks and stretches of suburban and rural areas would be cordoned off and searches carried out in every business, dwelling, and empty building. All firearms would be seized. The owners of weapons found in the searches would be prosecuted: $1,000 and one year in prison for each firearm.

... On the streets it would be a question of stop-and-search of anyone, even grandma with her walker, with the same penalties for "carrying."

Anyone trying this sh** in Boise would have mere seconds to live. As Captain Parker said "Don't fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, then by God, let it start here."

Company C of the 63rd was recruited in Meigs County, Ohio, and took part in all the battles you mentioned. My gg-grandfather, Samuel McCullough, went through the entire war as a member of Company C.

Keep your eye out for light blue helmets. Make sure this is the condition that you leave it in.

Many, many, cops in this nation do not like the idea of armed civilians...

Then they should seek new employment if they don’t think law abiding citizens should be armed. They will feel a heck of lot worse going to the funerals of their buddies.

This guy is dumber than Adolf Hitler. Hitler actually told the world of his plan in Mein Kampf, but it didn’t come out directly and say how. This dude has drawn up a blueprint to start a civil war.

>>Administrator: Deputy Commandant for International Affairs, US Army War College (1993-94)

That line item, in particular, pisses me off. Damn the Clintons.

>>Are you sure he was not attempting to write satire?

It’s very much in line with the Blade’s overall politics. They’re serious old-school union Leftist/marxist moonbats from way back.

I expressed that opinion to a very liberal friend who accused me of threatening him. He didn't seem to grasp that he had been threatening me. They don't.

Very insightful.

Neither side sees what they are doing as unreasonable, yet the other side sees it as a threat on their way of life, if not their very existence. Gun grabbers see weapons as the invariant tool of murder and must be eliminated at all costs; gun owners see weapons as their last defense against oppression and termination, and must be possessed at all costs. The math of this turns into a "divide by zero", with suitably unpredictable results. ...thing is, neither side sees anything wrong with their position, and feel utterly threatened by their opponents.

Wow. Reading something like this makes me glad we haven’t been turning every podunk little police force into a militarized combat unit.

Just what does Simpson think that 80 million American gun owners would do?

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Most gunowners whine if the NRA sends them a letter. They will turn over their freedoms like the sheep they are.

Now there are about four million NRA members. About two million are FUDS who will turn over their shotguns since they won't be able to hunt anymore. That leaves about two million NRA members who will be so, let's say, irritated, they might take this personally.

You need to find his resume, which is posted in the thread. If you’re like me at all, it’ll piss you off, given some of the public positions he’s held.

This Simpson fellow is one hardcore NAZI. Hitler would be proud of you, now all you need is a plan drawn up for the OVENS in which you put gun owners in.

Well, his bio also says that at one point he taught at the Libyan Military College. The Clintons are experts at looking under rocks and finding people to appoint to responsible positions. I have no reason to believe that would change. Mrs. Clinton, like her husband, appears to have been raised by wolves.
