It probably doesnt apply here, but I heard rumor of a Federal CC Permit several years ago. Aparrently these are VERY hard to get and held almost exclusively by Congresscritters and their buddies. The word I heard is that with one of these you can carry ANYWHERE, even on planes and such.
Trigger finger on the mouse?
Huckabee might actually be a worthwhile candidate if he wasn’t owned by the open borders lobby. BTW, I agree with you about Duncan Hunter. I’d like to see him get some traction.
Duncan Hunter seems to have a lot of grass roots support. Yesterday somebody called Mark Levin praising Hunter, and I hear it all the time on various talk shows.
Truckers are STRONGLY against illegal immigration, so when I’m up late, I intend the call the all-night show for truckers, The Truckin’ Bozo radio show, re: Hunter’s EFFECTIVESNESS (had a double fence built) on illegal immigration.
Hunter has been the most EFFECTIVE, as far as I can see, on illegal immigration. He gets things done.
Here’s a question that I submitted to politico.com/debate/ but there are so many questions for folks to vote on, I don’t know if it will be asked:

Question is for: Duncan Hunter
Topic Is: Immigration
I feel that you have been the most effective candidate in actually accomplishing the tightening of our borders by having a 14-mile fence built, which greatly lessoned crime in San Diego. As president what will you do to further secure our borders?
8 live rounds (better than dead ones) and a spare magazine in the bag???
Hmmmm, sounds like a Glock model 27 (baby glock)...
He sure did get shuffled through the judge and jury fast enough...
I guess if I can get my Dad to register as a candidate for President, I can screw up like this and it only cost me $855, suspended sentence and some community service...
All because I don’t remember what I have in my carry on bag...
True intelligence means knowing where ALL your guns are...
All mine are in a safe, except the one I carry which will give me a chance to get to the good stuff that no one wants to be on the recieving side of...
Seems reasonable to me...
;>)
Get your Dad elected governor of your State, and you might have even better luck...
;>)
Yeah, I’m just trying to get him to run for County Sheriff...
He says it looks like too much work...Geesh...
But you can, just not in the carry on bags or on your person. All you have to do is unload it, unload the magazines and put the rounds in a box, preferably the original box, but I believe a plastic box made for the purpose will be OK as well. Then tell your airline about it.
I found myself out of town in Orlando, and discovered a box of .45 ACP (Remington Golden Sabers) in my duffel. I don't normally use that one when I fly, but do when I drive. However the trip was long, the weather cool, and thus I needed the larger piece of luggage as well as the smaller one, but didn't release I had not taken the ammo out of the duffel's pocket. Thus I traveled to Orlando with it in the bag, didn't declare it anything. On the return I declared it, they asked if was in the original packaging, it was, and that was that. Told the TSA folks it was in there as well.
I cold have just a well had the Witness or 1911 in there as well. I imagine it would have been a bit more dicey if it had been discovered before I'd declared it.
More likely it's been increased. We know there are more sky marshals, and we know that cops other than Federal can also carry on an aircraft. Some pilots, after having undergone a ridiculous amount of training, and becoming Federal Flight Deck officers (Heaven forbid that mere civilians could carry a weapon on an aircraft, even if they are the people flying the thing), can also carry on board. The pilots should be able to carry or have handguns on board, but I'd like to see no more training required than that for a CHL/CCW in most states. A long day's worth at most, and get rid of them being Federal Officers.
