The Edward’s family are crooks! They used the media to put out their big sad story and that story was covered all day and about 3-4 days later, they said it wasn’t so bad and she could be treated with hormonal therapy and it wouldn’t be so bad~~~I have never understood it. Now, she is playing the race card. They are awful people....two Americas my foot! (couldn’t say what I wanted)....LOL~~~~

Matthews DID give a ‘leading question’ by asking the Edwards crowd in the audience if they’d noticed he got to VT right away after the shooting, and if they noticed he didn’t get to NOLA right away after Katrina. Dumb comparison if ever there was one.

But it allowed Edwards to go on and on and on about how blacks (who apparently were the only victims of Katrina) just don’t get the attention whites do. Shame on her.

Would Chrissy and Edwards be happy if Bush now gets the govt to send umpteen billions of taxpayers’ dollars to VT? Maybe bank cards for each student who was traumatized? That was one of the grossest interviews I’ve ever seen ... it’s hard at the moment having any sympathy for her.

Thanks for the reply, EdInVA, but no, it doesn't answer my question. I KNOW he is a leftist, and your information further confirms it, but it doesn't answer the question "Does he pass himself off as a neutral bipartisan"?

I put up-front liberals like Keith Olbermann, Maureen Dowd, Al Franken, and the like in one category. To paraphrase the cliche, "I hate what they say, but I'd defend to the death their right to say it." They lean left, but they admit it.

Lefties like Tim Russert, Katie Couric, Dan Rather and the like are a different breed. They are insidious vermin, because they lean way left -- and they KNOW they lean way left -- but they deny it and put on the air of neutral bipartisanship. They are MUCH more dangerous than the moonbat out-of-the-closet liberals.

So, my question remains: is Matthews an admitted moonbat, or does he claim to be "fair and balanced"?

There was a time when Matthews tried to be a middle of the road, somewhat objective media type, but that was a decade ago. He abandoned any pretense during the 2000 election recount. I really can’t bear to watch him any more.

Matthews is not quite as bad as Olberman, but working on it. Must be something in the air at MSNBC. He tries to fit the Russert mold, by occasionally throwing a bone towards a Republican or conservative. Russert, btw, previously worked for the late Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D-NY) who, for a Dem, was relatively sensible. Couric’s late sister was a Democrat State Senator in VA. They are all part of the Media-DNC Complex.

Does Matthews think he’s objective? Probably. When you live in the sphere he does, and associate with the media celebs who are of a single mind set .. you can’t see yourself as other than ‘mainstream.’ (”how did Nixon win? no one I know voted for him!” .. that mentality)
