Good idea. I also own both, and both are quite lethal. My dog may be a blind, fifteen-pound coward, but I take the same precautions around my neighbors as if he was a bull terrier.
Just as I'm as careful with my .22 pistol as I am with my shotgun.

I believe most owners of dangerous dogs know very well their dog is a danger to the community. They have seen the signs and chosen to ignore them . When dogs get free and roam in packas most any of them can become vicious.
Though this law sounds a bit overzealous it has some components that can be used. It needs some streamlining, but people who own and train vicious dogs should face serious jail time when their weapon goes off accidentally, and that what many of these animals are. Weapons.

I’m against such a law, but out of fairness it looks like you didn’t read your own article. You, in effect, set up a “straw poodle.” :-)

I see the march to make every citizen a convicted felon, unable to vote or own a firearm, continues unabated... That, I also fear is the ultimate goal here...

Good idea, your dog sounds very dangerous. LOL!He's probably not dangerous at all. But all it takes is one bite to prove me wrong.
That's the point.

Clouseau: Does your dog bite?
Hotel Clerk: No.
Clouseau: [bowing down to pet the dog] Nice doggie.
[Dog barks and bites Clouseau in the hand]
Clouseau: I thought you said your dog did not bite!
Hotel Clerk: That is not my dog.

You should change your tag line to “Your most dangerous enemy is man’s best friend”.

It's not bad at all---it's long overdue. I'm a responsible gun owner, and I'm a responsible dog owner. I fully support this law.
I am in agreement here.

I don’t think they’re talking about ‘Doodles’. I think they’re talking about dogs like pit bulls and rotties.....dogs that should be euthanized now before they attack.

And do illegals who rape or murder a US citizen get threatened with so much time?

Really? I support harsh punishment for those whose irresponsible behavior causes seriously injury to others. Really? I support the government staying the bloody hell out of things that are so far beyond the scope of its business.

If they bite their victims...hell yeah. One should keep their illegals confined or on a leash at all times. That is just responsible migrant ownership.
