India does not & has never needed IRBMs or missiles for that matter to hit Pakistan.A Mirage-2000 or Jaguar taking off from bases in Central India(Gwalior or Agra) can hit targets as far as Lahore Islamabad.An SU-30 deployed from South India can deploy nukes against Karachi or Gwadar(near the Iranian border).An Indian SSK armed with a nuclear tipped Klub missile can hit Karachi with ease.You don’t need the Agni for these purposes.

This missile is not for Pakistan, its for China. The Prithvi missile has undergone a lot more tests, has already been deployed and has all of Pakistan under its range.

Such a war would have definite short-term negative economic effects for the USA, but definite long-term benefits...such as not seeing our country destroyed. One way or another we’ll be fighting WWIII with China, or see the USA subjugated without a shot in the next 20-50 years. I’d rather see a regional war instead that eliminates either possibility. If for America to survive 2-3 billion (or more) Chinese, Indians, and Pakistanis have to die...THEN SO BE IT!
