“If Thompson or Hunter dont win the primary, and Giuliani does, then what happens? Does FR go third party (Keyes) and in turn give the presidency to the Dems?”
FR is not monolithic. Some will sit it out, some will go third party, some will even suck it up and Vote for Giuliani (and them probably come home and take gastrointestinal cleansers and a good shower and watch the returns coming in that give the Dems a Triple.
Sorry, you seemed to have missed the point. No matter. :)
None of this is a coincidence, or without connection. They truly do despise conservatives and conservatism, and that is an objective fact. The "foot on the neck" comments of February 2 were just one of the final clear expressions of it.
No real conservative could possibly listen to Dr. Keyes in speeches like the one below and not only "respect" Alan but greatly admire him. There is not another American I know who communicates what I believe with more power or passion.
She may have very well left on her own. Rumor has it that she is admin at an antifreeper site. Just rumors though.
No problem.
You are on the right track.
I’m so glad your heart is so full of love!
IMO, they are conservatives who are hoping, perhaps incorrectly, that Rudy is a conservative too. Some of them are caught up in the general admiration that most Americans feel for the man, others may just think he is a winner and support him because they see him as the man who will most easily defeat Hillary.
I'm not sure that the media will let anyone defeat a real life socialist like Hillary, so it may all be academic.
If FR cripples itself over this Rudy argument, which looks possible, it will be a help to the Dems.
“I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. ‘Tis the business of little minds to shrink; but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death.”
Thomas Paine
“They are not liberals or socialists, as so many gleefully assert.”
The biggest common factor that the banned freepers and the sturdier Rudy promoters still here share, is an intolerance for social conservatives, and the faithful.
Tom Paine sure had alotta wisdom for a heathen! ;-)
Hello, Dita!
He did. And here’s one from Alexander Hamilton:
“Power may be justly compared to a great river; while kept within its bounds it is both beautiful and useful, but when it overflows its banks, it is then too impetuous to be stemmed; it bears down all before it, and brings destruction and desolation wherever it goes.”
That a cool Bee Dita. Can I have it?
Very good.
I don’t think your bully tactics are the way to go.
Especially in the case of GBU, who contributes high caliber posting to this site.
“IMO, they are conservatives who are hoping, perhaps incorrectly, that Rudy is a conservative too. “
Ok, so they’re wrong conservatives? Naieve conservtives (his record speaks for itself)
“I’m not sure that the media will let anyone defeat a real life socialist like Hillary, so it may all be academic.”
Wow we are in conceptual agreement here ( i feel strongly that conservatives need to prepare long range plans to get conservative kids interested in journalism and education, strong socialization forces that give the libs a huge advantage with especially young people. I was a Dem at one point, until Reagan came along.
“If FR cripples itself over this Rudy argument, which looks possible, it will be a help to the Dems.”
First, this FR activity is a response to the establishment of the GOP and those supporting the establishment of the GOP. It is the GOP that is killing themselves and have been since about 98. Secondly this site is a big site and will get only better through the 08 election cycle.
