My oldest son just finished AIT yesterday. He’s now officially a quartermaster in the Idaho National Guard! Graduated with honors...one of the top three in his class. I sure am proud of him!
Bet you are! Congrats to him, and kudos to you!
Congratulations!!!
Thanks! :-)
Do you accept this statement?
Suffice it to say that when abortion was performed at those times they probably did not think they were killing a human life.
If you accept that as historically true, then what would the founding fathers have done if they were to discuss abortion, having the medical evidence we have today and knowing that life basically begins at conception? Would they outlaw abortion completely? Would they outlaw abortion for all instances that were not rape/incest/life threatening to mother?
I think they would have tabled the discussion and compromised if it bogged down, like they did with slavery. They chose not to extend the protection of guvmint and extend the right to liberty to slaves because of political expedience. And for that, we ended up later with the civil war, ~400k dead or so. The abortion issue has given us ~100 times more dead, 2 orders of magnitude more. So if our founding fathers had been given that glimpse of consequences, I wonder if they would have chosen to outlaw slavery and abortion right at the outset. Of course, hindsight is 20/20.
Congratulations!
You must be very proud
Because the response count to this post is now 12K+ and counting, I feel obligated to give my support in continuing the good fight as you outlined. Stay your course and continue strong objection to a liberal New York city ex-mayor who can pose as anything in order to get the GOP nomination and then change on a dime. He is not to be trusted if one believes in the Second Amendment, is anti-abortion, and wants true strict contructionists appointed as judges, as well as other beliefs re other conservative issues.
I am. He’s a great kid. :-)
“Long-time conservative activist Richard Viguerie has urged conservatives not to support Rudy, Romney, or McCain in the 2008 presidential race (see video here).”
Outstanding! Link to the video? I’m heading out for a bit...will be back.
It's a plan! :-)
A plan is good.
Whether of not I’ll get to eat any of them......is another story.

Same here. But they'll blame both of us anyway.
Amen!
Wow, that is a great pic!

“Many free countries have lost their liberty, and ours may lose hers; but if she shall, be it my proudest plume, not that I was the last to desert, but that I never deserted her. I know that the great volcano at Washington, aroused and directed by the evil spirit that reigns there, is belching forth the lava of political corruption in a current broad and deep, which is sweeping with frightful velocity over the whole length and breadth of the land, bidding fair to leave unscathed no green spot or living thing; while on its bosom are riding, like demons on the waves of hell, the imps of that evil spirit, and fiendishly taunting all those who dare resist its destroying course with the hopelessness of their effort; and, knowing this, I cannot deny that all may be swept away. Broken by it I, too, may be; bow to it I never will.
Abraham Lincoln, 1839
(sounds like a description of the stuff going on in Congress now. I join full hearted in his sentiments of standing, and not bowing to it.)
