“That “air of inevitability” is nothing to sneeze at when you’re fundraising.”

I think your comment is not really appreciated on FR anymore.

See, by posting a poll showing Guiliani in the lead, it is (often incorrectly) presumed that one supports him.

That gives occasion for 200 posts, going back and forth about the exact same points as yesterday.

There is virtually NO discussion about fundraising, who can win by appeal to independents, major changes in polls, etc.

First it is a poll by the Washington Post a liberal rag.

Second the question was asked of leaned Republicans ..... that must be republicans who lean left.

Third why am I even posting in a Rudyite leftie thread?

Some people DO have no opinion. I am one of them.

Some days I think Romney will win, some days Guiliani. If Thompson enters the race, everything changes yet again...plus there are all sorts of unforeseen factors.

So, now you can say you know of at least one person who has "no opinion.!" Ha!

And that makes for some useless posting. Too bad, it could be interesting but those who only want a social conservative in office rabidly go after anyone who dares suggest someone else should be on the top of the ticket.

So Fred Thompson is the three percent solution?

Will the will of the freeper be ignored again? Not likely. We will prevail.

Thompson/Gulliani 08’. How does that sound?

I've mentioned it myself.

Since the MSM doesn’t report facts but rather opinions, I see them with Rudy in front. So Rudy & Hillary final out & the libs win again. What would Rudy do significantly different than GW but be even more of a RINO.

So now the Washington Post is a credible source? Guess the Times is next.

The Times is a Moonie rag that prints bizzare Sun Myung Moon propaganda as full-page ads.

He'll use the bully pulpit for starters! He won't be a compassionate conservative - he'll tell it like it is. He'll support our troops in the war and be their commander. He'll cut taxes, not compromise on education choice and make the DEMS work for their trouble. He won't let the fools in the environmental wing stomp on capitalism and the U.S. Take it from there.

“a Giuliani/Thompson” ticket:

Sort of a “Sopranos meets Andy of Mayberry” to run the company store.

Two lovable shcmucks to Protect us from Terrorism and reveal the horrible stranglehold Big Oil,Bush,Cheney and Haliburton had on all of us dumbos?

Don’t think Hitlery will allow it.

Strange the FR poll disagrees with the WP again!

(4/16) If Fred Thompson officially joins the race for president who would you support?
I’ll go with Fred
69.9%

Other
12.1%

I’m solid with Rudy
10.0%

Undecided/pass
8.0%

None of the above...

Rudy is the acceptable Newt just like Kerry was the acceptable Dean.

Romney, Not another Tall Guy from Mass, please....

Fred T, maybe to left for some already.

We are still looking for a Reagan-like figure to LEAD.

It hit me the other day, He is not the most handsome, but he is articulate yes,and has a vision for America (read his books) and was on GWB's short list for VP.

That is Bill Bennett.

In a time of national crisis, I could see him doing the right thing and reaching out to the country to follow his vision.

I am sure many will not agree with me.

But the current crop is falling short, and we are running out of time.

I say Bennett from a floor nomination, if we a re deadlocked.
