First of all, if the court decrees you are mentally unstable or remands you to hospitalization for mental health issues, this IS reportable to the instant check system.
Secondly, voluntarily seeing a shrink -- or even voluntarily going in to a hospital -- shouldn't be a disqualifier. The law of unintended consequences will prevail and people who might want/need treatment won't seek it. Also, how can you disqualify someone because, say, he's depressed for a few days after his sister dies, and he goes and gets the help he needs?
Are we just turning our universities into extensions of our basic school system, i.e., K-16? Or are we turning our universities into remedial high school (9-12 repeated)?

good question, and I’d be curious to know HOW this guy got in..wouldn’t have anything to do with his asian (minority) status I hope..his writings obviously qualified him for a remedial writing class in HIGH SCHOOL..
“They had gun control on campus and it got all those people killed, because nobody could defend themselves,”
Its all about gathering tuitions, grants and student loans. I was never impressed with getting any degrees because of this. I know I’ll get flamed about this but its my view and even though its made me not as competitive in the job market its always been to me that the American teaching system has been a total failure.
