Rosie meant to say she was giving up on bun control, not gun control.
She knew that to be a hopeless cause for her.

she gives up cause she’d be labeled a hypocrite cause of the little fact she has an armed bodyguard for her family..... gee, a gun for defense....even Rosie can figure out that waiting till the cops come and take names and pictures will do little to deter harm from occurring.

Meanwhile she probably runs around with “armed” bodyguards.

Two years ago she told Bill O'Reilly that she had armed body guards. Bill replayed the interview clip tonight. His question then was, "why don't you want to allow the same right to a private citizen?"

She answered that she wanted guns registered not taken away. Then Bill O'Really started his own Gun Control tripe like a New York liberal at which point I turned him off.

“Haven’t they figured out yet that it’s the law-abiding citizens who obey the gun control laws, not the criminals?”

They don’t live in the real world, nor do they want to.

Hey fat Rosie. The guns have always been there. Whats different now. Maybe it’s hate mongers like yourself spewing “I hate America” crap 5 days a week on national TV.

The VT shooter sent a package to NBC. Maybe he watched their news programs and agreed with NBC’s assessment of how evil America is so evil.

Ah, so that’s why?

Maybe a look at the statistics (is that real enough?) that say these murders on campuses really jumped out of the starting gate at about the same time when the gun control debate really got picked up by the drive-by media?

Who dropped the ball on this one? University officials who didn’t want to provoke a lawsuit by “embarrassing” or singling out one student?

Well, see how they avoided lawsuits? There’s not enough money in the world (hyperbole) for these lawsuits X 32!

Not to mention the human tragedy that could have been avoided if someone just had the courage to quarantine this guy off campus.

Problem is, the university officials didn’t do it. And they have friends who are running for national office who share their points of view about looking the other way and not calling anyone to task for being personally accountable. They don’t even want to admit that there’s a problem.

Doesn’t that sound like our great collection of “domed ones” sitting out there in Washington who now say there isn’t a war on terror, and not to make any references to it at all. Anywhere. Not in appropriations bills. Not in conversations. Not in passing. The war on terror does not exist.

Do I feel safe? Not with them in charge of national security.

End of speech — Jane

Rosie is just following Terry McNuball’s orders.

Don’t worry, the rats have not given up on this.

A reasonable additional regulation would be to include some sort of check of mental health records.

A judge did not find that the murderer in this case posed sufficient danger to himself and others to justify involuntary commitment. The judge's finding turned out to be incorrect, but I find myself deeply troubled by pro-Second-Amendment people who are willing to set the 'mental health' bar any lower. There are enough people who view a desire to own firearms as being a mental disease in and of itself that allowing the state broad discretion to deny people's Second-Amendment rights without having to commit them would be very dangerous.

You appear to believe that anyone short of being committed is just fine to own a weapon regardless of how mentally ill they are. As a psychologist, I assure you, there are plenty of people not institutionalized who would be very dangerous to place weapons in their hands.

Such people generally have the wisdom to keep weapons out of their own hands. And if they don't, I don't think gun laws will suffice to stop them.
