Still, why is this? You’d think that With this problem, non-Muslim cabbies would seize the opportunity left by this situation.

Ridiculous. Birth control pills have been around for years. The morning after pill is basically the same sort of thing. It’s the same situation as the cab drivers. EXACTLY.

I rove a can in college and refused service to anyone who appeared to be threatening or appeared that they would go on a crappy trip.

It was my cab and I was the sole person to determine who I had as a customer.

The cabs are owned by companies with contractual agreements with the Airport...therein lies the problem, because otherwise, you are right, why don't some non-Muzzies come in and fill the void....

The problem is they can't. And the cab companies themselves are catching a lot of heat over this. The drivers themselves are probably union and can't be fired, etc. etc.

However, if the City passes a law requiring the muzzies to transport anybody, regardless of booze or pork or whatever, then the cabbies and the unions(if they are also involved) would be liable.

Not the same. Birth control pills prevent pregnancy (something I am ok with), abortificants (var. abortifacients) are herbs/chemicals/drugs used to induce abortion of fetal tissue. One is a chemical prophylactic, the other is murder (if you believe as I do that life begins at inception). If you don’t believe as I do, that is your prerogative, but it means we no longer have anything to discuss because I am firmly pro-life, and anything else is something I personally find morally wrong. To me, there is no difference between an 8 hour old fetus and an 8 month old one. Both have life and contain the distinctive genetic material that makes up a human being. Forcing a Christian pharmacist to aid in the taking of that life is a far cry from muslim cab drivers refusing to accept passengers because they have alcohol, pork products, or a dog. So, no they are not EXACTLY the same situation.
