However, Lantos' job -- and Pelosi's -- is to create laws. Foreign policy falls under the purview of the Executive branch of government, not the Legislative.
This is precisely why Pelosi is guilty of lying at her news conference yesterday. She stated the Dem goals were the same as President Bush's.

Ms. Pelosi is acting at the behest of the Democratic party as they attempt to usurp the powers of the President and have their own foreign policy.

I had CSPAN on for the WH presser, and next came Pelosi and that other old fool, Lantos (?). I couldn't help but become absolutely, red-faced furious at what I was hearing her spew. That woman is sick AND dangerous! God help us, the President and Republicans have GOT to do something!
