As if we needed four more reasons to vote against him?
Nice.

Well, maybe even this group is, or could be, used for something. Fundraising, probably, for I find it difficult to see any other use for them.

Nice endorsements picked up by McCain — I don’t know how much weight they’ll have, but it’s still an impressive list of names.

Our State Dept has been the riding grounds for socialists for as long as I can remember. I wouldn’t want any of their support.

It’s almost poetic. The CFR candidate receives the support of the CFR...

I’m a bit surprised at George Shultz. Kissenger? Is that a good thing?

Certainly an impressive list of names. But these are all Cold Warriors. What we need is a leader who understands the complexities of a hot war with terrorists that have no country or uniform.
Dealing with the Soviets was simple, don't shoot at us, we won't shoot back. Dealing with terrorists is much more complicated. Find them, kill them, but how to do that without inflaming the rest of the Muslim world and the people of the terror states that support them is the delicate part.

Impressive.
But not enough to help him to any extent.
To: Mr. Brightside
He totally revamped his campaign but I don’t see him inching up to the #1 spot yet. But who knows.

George Schultz is the only one of the four that nearly rises to the level of “impressive”; the other three are duplicitous , self-serving meddlers.

I am grateful to General Haig and George Shultz for their efforts in the cold war. However, the world has turned over since then and I do not trust their judgment now.
To: areafiftyone
I’m not a conspiracy guy, but I’ve said all along that the “Establishment” wants McCain.
And those guys are “The Establishment.”

Well, now that he has four votes, he won’t miss mine.

Sad to see these people backing a crazy person, Shortleash McCain....Four of the best ever to head State should mean something about their faith in someone who knows a thing or two about foreign affairs...although I wouldn't be surprised to see someone like Madelyn Halfbright in Rudy's corner, who else has he got beside a crooked police commish?
