As you know, I have been saying what you said about Newt for years now.

For some reason, people on the Right like to believe that our side doesn't have the same kind of egotistical opportunists as the Left does.

Gingrich thinks we are just a bunch of idiots, the same as any Left-Wing College professor. He thinks he can say whatever he wants and we will just buy it, because he always is careful to say whatever nobody else is saying, so he sounds interesting, and he hopes 'brilliant'. Different does not make brilliant, and if Newt had political smarts, Clinton would not have stomped him so badly. Add that to the fact that he was cheating on his own wife at the same time he was reading Clinton the riot act, and you have a sociopath on your hands.

Republicans are easily fooled by these types. Remember how we LOVED Lindsey Graham? Arnold? It seems too many on our side can tell us what we want to hear, and we just lap it up.

You seem to have lost the on-off switch, barrister. Point of fact: you never had it.

I'm on when I say I'm on. Not in your hands nor effects is it to "turn me off", or shut me up. And I'm on now. Now you, you have yet to show any legal knowledge whatsoever, much less about copyrights and intellectual property.

Before there were written titles to land -- the boundaries described by clear metes and bounds all could see, there was constant strife and conflict. The introduction of deeds and written titles created a peace; they are a fundamental part of "establishing justice", of civilization.

Modern "IP" has few, almost no such metes and bounds. It sets up a disaster, a return to a regressive era of constant strife and conflict. Once some years ago we in the US had made and achieved, so I claim, a good try at establishing metes and bounds for IP -- we required working models of patentable inventions, we required that copyrighted works be registered, that a fully fidelic copy of the work be given to the federal copyright office.

The physical model that actually worked, the complete copy of copyrighted work -- these provided some metes and bounds beyond which inflated and constantly inflating claims of "my property!" can not be made.

Now even those markers are gone. The markers are gone. Patents are now just vague flurries of imaginary designs -- even process and algorithm, and only in hints are claimed. Copyrights expand to "like" works, and the "like" becomes ever more vagarious. The vagarity is resolved by willingness to apply money, social and political power the most ruthlessly. Not by fact or logic. The biggest brute in the arena of the courts will win whatever rights he desires. The big will devour the small.

BUT, what if they really WERE in cahoots with the terrorists?

#####

I think they are separate entities who both want to diminish the US of A. What makes my stomach turn to knots and my eyelids twitch are thoughts about how far would the dems go to give assistance to terrorist orgs or state sponsors in order to diminish our country.

I have not a doubt that the code pinkoes and the brian beckers and the ramsay clarkes will sell us out, but I cannot rule out nasty people like Kerry, Hoyer, Pelosi also doing despicable acts.

F Thompson is Presidential looking if you are talking about decades ago. He looks really older than his 66 years, and sounds slow, not just Southern Drawl slow, most of the Southerners I know are hyper as Hell when they talk/drawl. He also got rolled big time by old geezer John Glenn when Glenn was Minority and he was the Majority Head of the Committee investigating the Clintons and others for taking Chinese money to finance their campaigns. His performance really made me ill. T Thompson needs to stay in Wisconsin unless he will be an attack dog against the rats. Huckabee is a useful Idiot for the rats who is already shown himself a loser by bashing Pubbies and telling them to apologize to Slick Willy.

****

I totally agree with your thumbnail summaries.
I remember the endless debates that the dems had in the 2004 primary campaign. They NEVER dissed each other, but each used their time to speak to explain how they were better than GWB, no matter what the question was from a moderator or another ‘debater’.

I wish Republicans could be just a bit like Dems in this one aspect of political speaking.

According to the Strata-Sphere...they believe the interviews with Carl Levin and Schmuckie Schumer indicate that BUSH has won the debate about the War Supplemental Bill.

I have to admit that I did not watch Levin...so I am just going by the quotes in this article.

Not sure if this pic is photo shopped, but I do recall '95 and yes by the end of it the Clintons did leave Newt stomped.

Hillary would love to see Newt as the nominee in '08.

I cannot rule out nasty people like Kerry, Hoyer, Pelosi also doing despicable acts.

There is a bill in the House that has an amendment introduced by Peter King, which says that people who call attention to suspicious activity cannot be prosecuted for discrimination (this was prompted by the "flying Imams" case - the Imams have started a suit in which they cite "John Doe" passengers who alerted airplane personnel about what the Imams were doing, which was highly suspicious). Almost the entire Democrat party, including the ENTIRE New York Metropolitan Area delegates, with the exception of Anthony Wiener, voted against this amendment.

The Dem's position goes against everything the police and homeland security people have been telling us - "if you see something suspicious, report it." The police and the FBI can't be everywhere and see everything that is going on, by themselves.

It really makes you wonder.

1. He has a set of questions prepared for him and is stuck to the agenda.

I agree with you and , judging from some of his follow-up (or not) questions, I believe that Wallace has less knowledge of the background of his guests or the historical political points than many Freepers have.

I’m glad you mentioned that- I have been trying for over an hour to get on Red State too.

Is it tin-foil hat time?..

Odd, though.

Check it out: Steny Hoyer’s spokesperson is denying he met with the Muslim Brotherhood guy...but, not true says others.

Hoyer's spokesperson is claiming that Hoyer met with members of Egypt's parliament including the MB guy.

...which means Hoyer met with the MB guy plus at least one other parliament guy.

The text of the article is different than the headline..isn’t it??

I have read that 3 times..and I am still sort of confused as to who is saying what..and who Hoyer really met with.

I will take your word for it.

Thanks.

I went back and read the headline again.

I guess it depends on what the word “personal” means.

I’ve been a bit under the weather today. I’ve posted on a few threads, but I knew that if I got into this one, I would be here all day. I’m catching a cold, I fear.
