Please see post #73.

I know you find it unnecessary, but would you be willing to name five names you think would represent the respective administrations?

The GOP has to learn that they will have to produce a credible, qualified candidate if they want my vote. End of story. Dole got my vote, and so did Bush. I’m fed up with the “hold your nose and vote for us” crap. Give me a real conservative or lose my vote.

The anti-Rudy folks have repeatedly said that a Rudy administration would be “indistinguishable” and “no different” from a Rat administration.THAT is what we are arguing about.

I say: prove it. Can you?

************

I'm not for Giuliani because he's a liberal. I've never said I won't vote, on the contrary, I've said a number of times that I will. The problem with those who are pro-Rudy is that they refuse to acknowledge how weak a nominee he would be, and that he would probably split the party. If they succeed in putting him up, they are likely ensuring a Clinton presidency.

I do find it unnecessary. I don’t think you’re getting the point. I don’t want a liberal for president.

Nice try at changing the subject.

You forget, Rooty made this subject moot. He invited us to not vote for him.

I like to oblige people, it will be one of the first times I can oblige a liberal and FEEL good about it.

I am going to spend my weekend with family and friends and get the word out about Rooty.

Kind of an Easter weekend "grassroots movement".

My folks have two churches they go to because of a move they made. They have already said "NO" to Rudy PERIOD.

I understand where you’re coming from.

However, please explain how your plan works out best for the country?

This is where we tend to start hearing crickets chirp. Or we sail the river Denial.

Neither do I want a liberal for president.

I asked you if you would name some names, regardless that you think it’s an “unnecessary” analytical exercise.

Would you do that?

Blah blah blah.

Still no names.

Why?

Name some names, Old Mil! Who do you think [fill in the blank] Rat president would appoint as, say, Secretary of Defense compared to who [fill in the blank] Republican president would appoint?

Given that the candidate himself has stated that his policies mirror Clinton's our speculation is far less important than looking back in history to the Clinton administration. The Surgeon General will be someone like Joycelyn Elders. The Secretary of State, someone like Madeline Albright. The Attorney General, someone like Janet Reno.

As I said, your little quiz - which is merely an attempt to talk conservatives into voting liberal - is pointless.

What names?

We didn’t discuss that.

Is your microchip sizzling out?

blah, back at ya.

We discussed one name, Rudy. NO. Easy for me, even harder for Rudy....but....he is really counting on all those RAT crossovers.

I have an idea for you. Go over to the DU and ask them to take your quiz and see how many crossovers you might get.

If either Rudy or Hillary become President, the country is screwed.

If the GOP is capable of learning from that mistake, then in the future we won’t be put in this position again, which will work well for the country.

If the GOP isn’t capable of learning from that mistake, conservatives will give up on the GOP and move to a third party that will eventually replace the dying GOP.

I don’t see the point, since we disagree on the most basic issues. If Giuliani is the Republican nominee it will be one of the biggest mistakes the GOP has ever made. Especially since I’m not convinced Hillary will be the Democrat nominee. Obama is doing very well raising campaign funds.

Who do you think would be SECDEF in the respective administrations?

This thread is about naming names. Or did you even read it?

You keep repeating your opposition to Rudy Giuliani. We get it.

What I am asking you to do is back up your assertion that a Republican administation would be “no different” than a Rat administration.

BTW, while I would never do so, I think your suggestion that DUer’s complete the quiz would result in some highly instructive findings. I can pretty much guarantee that they would expect to find differences between a Republican and a Rat administration, “even” under Rudy Giuliani.

It doesn’t have anything to do with any disagreement you and I may have on any issue.

In fact, I am offering you the opportunity to persuade me. I have an open mind.

Did you actually read the thread?

You just keep saying Rudy is not the guy. I get it, and I’m not disagreeing with you on that. I’m also not saying Hillary will be the Rat nominee. The quiz says “ANY Republican” (you choose for these purposes) and “ANY Rat” (you choose for these purposes).

How about just answering a few questions for the sake of discussion? Such as SECDEF, SECSTATE, Homeland Security and Attorney General.

I set out my answers at #73.

“For some reason, no one has offered any names yet that represent the potential Rat administration that could come to power in 2008.”

Aw, no one wants to play your silly game. Darn.
