A culture that does not honor it’s warriors will be defeated by a culture that does.

In some ways, this sounds reminiscent of the PC overthrow a few years ago now, of the “dedication stone” which, in addition to identifying LtGen Lewis B. “Chesty” Puller, USMC (Ret.), (and deceased), bore the words also of Patriot. and Soldier!—which ruffled the fine feathers of so many ignoramus souls. And/or the disrespect directed toward a university group toward the also departed, famous “Pappy Boyington,” a more recent brouhaha...
Amazing what can be accomplished in the name of PC, democracy Vs. Republic, etc. All it takes are a few whiners—the more and the louder, the more ignorant—the better!

The manly trait of courageously fighting to the death for family, God, and country has been made to look like a bad thing. No longer are the exploits of great warriors celebrated.

Maybe they should have a statue of two men buggering each other. That would be politically correct.

The Jews in the First Century suffered a number of calamities, but the worst was the total destruction of their military caste.
It has taken them nearly 2000 years to recover.

I don’t think folks like you should be given much attention at all... but sadly some editor at the newspaper figured it sell some papers.

Where can we send letters of support? This story really burns my ass.
It is time we collectively voice our outrage to these vermin!

Im thinking somebody doesnt quite know what a statue is for.
Or what the military is for, trained for and willing to do. Inappropriate? Heaven forbid that kids learn patriotism, respect for those willing to put their lives on the line for freedom, willing to stand between us and evil, and that freedom is not free. This is the home of the free because of the brave. There are too many stupid people running loose in this country and what's worse is that they are also reproducing.

I may have to steal that line for a bumper sticker!

Boys and girls who are raised by responsible parents can shoot guns, play violent video games, know the difference between the two, and never kill anyone unless its a legitimate case of defense.
Should I ever marry and have children, I'm going to take them to every war memorial I can so I can explain it to them at a young age.

People like this burn me up.
My father fought for our freedom (along with 4 of his brothers) in the infantry in WWII. His sister’s husband flew Corsairs in WWII and Korea.
I proudly served my country for 20 years in the Navy.
My sister’s husband served in the Marines, as did their oldest daughter’s husband.
I have an ancestor on my Dad’s side who was a privateer in the War of 1812.
One of my Mom’s ancestors fought with Nathan Bedford Forrest.
My Dad’s side of the family has been in this country longer than it has been a country (late 17th century).
I will gladly give my life for my country, but not before taking as many of the enemy as I can.
“No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country, he won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for HIS country” (Patton)
I despise people like this. If they had their way, the country would be emasculated and anyone could just walk right in and take over.
“Real Americans love a winner and will not tolerate a loser!” (Patton)
I am not a proponent of war. War is terrible (Sherman said “War is hell”) but sometimes war is necessary.
One last quote: “It is a good thing war is so terrible, or we should grow too fond of it.” (Robert E. Lee, after viewing the carnage of the battle of Fredericksburg)

Another statue that "glorifies violence" and represents Americans who fought for freedom.

Seems that they’re beyond shame.
They have their sick cause, and nothing else in the world matters to them.

A group of Littleton parents is opposing the design and location of a memorial to a fallen local Navy SEAL Michael Moore's cult followers.
Last night I watched "Bowling for Columbine" with my sons. What a vile, scummy, fraudulent, sucky, poop-ridden waste of two hours of my life.
The good news is, we watched a bootleg DVD that was bought for $4 on the Russian black market, so that not a red ruble (a ruble is worth about 4 cents) went into the extra-extra-extra-large pockets of fat gasbag Moore.
