People become second class citizens by choice.
They refuse to accept the ways of their fellow citizens.
They make no attempt to become fluent in the language of the the country.
They refer to the place they came from as “my country”.
And they preface their new nationality with that of the place they left.
The do not want to assimilate into society and thus they become second class citizens by their own choice.
They deserve second class status, because they have earned it by deed, action, thought and intent.

When my Grandfather visited the USA from England, he was amazed at two things above all else.

First was our high standard of living. He was constantly told we were poorer than they, had high crime, etc.

Second was our forests. He was flat out amazed as we drove through and flew over forests larger than he had ever seen. He had been told we had clear cut our forests and destroyed our environment.

You mean like the DC area sniper attacks a few years ago? The media was utterly speechless when it turned out that the snipers were in fact black and Muslim instead of white as they had predicted.

It does not read, average American Muslim.
It reads, Average American.

Either way, the statement is a specious blurb that is not borne out by any factual basis grounded in research.
