Fake American documents were planted with newspapers in third countries (Europe) to discredit the United States back when Russia was the Soviet Union.

This tactic was used by the KGB (Vladimir Putin's old outfit) quite a bit.

The idea of an attack will enrage the American hating forces around the world, although I have no objections if its true.

This is nonsense. It has all the credibility of the wild hysteria surrounding August 22nd of 2006. Remember how many thought the Battle of Armegeddon would begin that day with a nuclear strike on Jerusalem? That day came and went without incident.....so will April 6th. The worst thing that could happen that day is Tiger missing the cut at The Masters.

This is the 47th prediction on the last zero attacks on Iran. With a record like that, take this for what it's worth: zero. Ain't gonna happen.

The attack is slated to last for 12 hours, according to Uglanov, from 4 am until 4 pm local time.

Uh-huh... The Russians have a spy high in the Pentagon and they're going to prove that fact by publishing minute details that only a well-placed mole could know about this supposedly imminent attack. Those Russians, they just love blowing the cover of their top spies in Washington!

Are these the same Russians that claimed that their was a buildup of military forces on the Iranian border, and scant hours later IRAN ITSELF declared that no such buildup had taken place?

I have no guesses any more. I only hope that yours is right. I would be glad to take back some of the exasperated things I have said about W recently.

nd may end in the invasion of Taiwan and South Korea

That would get it on against the whole "Axis" at once. We did it once before. We can do it again. I think the entry of Russia into the mess would keep nukes off the various tables so long as conquest of the "homeland" is out of the discussion. Putting it all off will only make things more intense and more widespread.

If they think they can pull off Taiwan they could not care less about the Olympics. The suggestion is silly.

Actually the whole thing could be US generated psy-ops with nothing to it, unless Iran retaliates against the pressure with something serious against Israel or into the US.

The nerve of these accursed Russkies! Giving away our plans before our own media have a chance to! The NYT should sue them.

There is really no need to pull any ships from the Pacific area. There are two carriers in the Gulf now with a third on the way. Don't forget, we also have Iran surrounded with numerous ground based aircraft carriers (airports) well within strike range. I have always suspected that this is the real reason we wanted to be in Iraq in the first place.

After the Iranian Hostage Crisis on 1979 to 1981 I figure we have a blank check to hit them anytime we want. Payback in spads.

a few B-2s and other hardware some were in the western Pacific on a US island like Guam ?

I think I read that we even have some F-22 Raptors over there. I hope that we saved at least one to take care of Persia.

Webster G. Tarpley http://www.tarpley.net/ is a journalist. Among other works, he has published an investigation on the manipulation of the Red Brigades by the Vatican's P2 Suite and the assassination of Aldo/ /Moro,...

Thirty posts in, and no one has figured it out. This guy believes the Vatican was running the Red Brigades and assassinated Aldo Moro. Please.

Go to the website. The guy is a true Bush-Derangement-Syndrome/World-Trade-Center-was-an-inside-job nutburger. So why is anyone spending time considering anything this idiot says?

This is the 47th prediction on the last zero attacks on Iran.

On the bright side, all the predictions have got to keep Iran on pins and needles.

I was highly skeptical, however, there was a report on DEBKA (I know, it's DEBKA, but sometimes a broken clock is right twice a day you know) that U.S. officers in Manamha, Bahrain have told investors and oil people to pack their gear and get the hell out of Dodge. Again, it is DEBKA.

U.S.S. NIMITZ battlegroup is departing San Diego tomorrow to head towards the Fifth Fleet AOR (iirc), where the STENNIS and the EISENHOWER bg's are concentrated. BTW, I would have suspected that the two carriers themselves are actually out of the Gulf. This makes me highly skeptical of the Russian piece, and makes it look like a planned leak to make the Persians highly nervous. NIMITZ won't be on station for ten days at the earliest.

Right now there are internal divisions in Iran. I am of the opinion that the Brits were siezed by the Revolutionary Guards faction surrounding Ahmadhi-Nejad, who was losing mojo to Rafsanjani. Britain's limp response only made Dinner Jacket look like the Cock of the Walk, so for now, he's the Kingfish. However, there's only so much utility they get out of these hostages.

You'll notice they didn't try to take Americans? Methinks there's a well laid plans to start making thier submarines disappear, their fleet visit Davy Jones, and Kharg Island go Up In Smoke should that happen. Methinks we've told them this. The problem is that some people in Iran don't get the message and don't understand just what we can do to them.

How and ever, some people in Iran want such a war. That's the problem. If so, they must be allowed to make the first, overt hostile act, like the Japanese before them.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

I'm hoping that the attack is more widespread than just the nuke facilities. We should go after all Revolutionary Guards type units, the entire navy and airforce and hit select mullahs.
