Welcome to FR. Please note the civility policy on the "Posting Comment" page. (We all need to work on that).
I must say, your being called Satan because you don't particularly like Ron Paul even beats Rudy fans being called treasonous liberals.
Ron Paul has my vote. If the Republican power brokers attempt to ram another one of their lackluster establishment drones down my throat, I will be voting for another party's candidate. I'm tired of losing the war because of being so focused on winning the election. I held my nose and voted for Bush, and all that achieved was to return he Democrat party to power.
Ron Paul ping.
Attitude has nothing to do with it. Positive thinking wont help these two. I saw Ron Paul on Bill Maher's show last night opposing the Civil War. To 99% of Americans that is a crackpot position. NEarly 70% of Americans think Mormons are all crackpots, so that does it for Mitt too.
I may consider ignoring paleoPaulie since he will have no difficulty falling out of sight all on his own because of his silly ideas and inconsequential career. Is he a vegetarian? Do they have ballot position as a party?
Meanwhile, did the Prince of Peace (not exactly a doctrinal title) disagree with God the Father on the Hebronites and the Canaanites? I did not think so.
It is also true that some of us who oppose the very idea of the War of Northern Aggression also oppose paleoPaulie. Thanks for your posts on this thread!
I read that 80% of statistics are pulled right from the user's ass, too.
Actually there is, we circumvented it. One of the few things the dastardly Federalists didn't erradicate... In section 8, no Defense appropriation was to be for more than two years (to prevent us getting involved in the perpetual wars of Europe)... Of course, DOD circumvented this by having program budgets executed every two years on projects that extended indefinitely... the original intent was that even the Army itself could be funded for only two years, then would have to be stood down to reserve status until the next contingency.
I disagree that ICBMs and global commerce have changed anything. We can still provide an adequate defense, and utilize our own seaborne assets and territories for basing defense against such weapons. In fact, we do that now with the exception of a VERY few radar installations, but given current technology, we don't NEED them anymore. The founding fathers insisted on POLITICAL isolationism, but on COMMERCIAL globalization in todays terms. They wanted the US to be the commercial giant who was involved in every corner of the globe, and we certainly can act to protect our interests. They wanted us to be regarded well by all nations, with no enemies, able to buy and sell with all.
Not only would I guess I have read more than you, I would also guess that I have published more than you also, especially in peer reviewed scientific journals. I am very busy, and the internet is something I only do for about 15 minutes a day, so I avoid trying to build and support complex arguments that are usually wasted on people who appeal to purely emotional responses anyway.

Please cite your source, or retract your claim.
Then you should definitely try and avoid FR. Try DU instead, they are right up your alley.
You actually prove my point. You have already committed a number of logical fallacies(petitio principii, argumentum ad hominem) which you are obviously unaware of. I know you are aware that you changed my post (from purely emotional as I wrote to purely factual as in your post) which makes you guilty of straw man fallacy as well. I will cut you some slack on that one, since you have already shown you don't know the difference between a straw man fallacy and ignoratio elenchi (red herring, which is what you intended to accuse me of in your earlier post). A straw man is when you misrepresent someones argument as a weaker position then refute it, ignoration elenchi is when you attempt to distract from the original argument by introducing an unrelated proposition. I am a Christian, a successful capitalist, a veteran, and a conservative so far to the right that moderates like yourself are indistinguishable from liberals to me; I don't think they'd like me much over at DU. Have a nice evening, I have wasted enough time on this conversation.
Which poll would that be? The last Fox News poll I saw didn't even ask about Paul. It's hard to show up on a poll when you're not even included. That's the kind of dishonesty that is quickly gaining Fox News the same reputation for bias as its competitors.
It's hard to find any real news on Fox these days anyway, between the sleaze, the gossip, and the shilling for Rockefeller Republicans.
Source for what?
Who is paleoPaulie?
The real problem is FoxNews leaving Paul out of their poll.
I must disagree with you there. Outside of that statement, you have made some worthwhile contributions. :)
The more you respond, the more I see you are definitely DU material. Seriously, give them a try.
Given your recommendation, are you DU material? I saw no such recommendation from LambSlave.
