Chinese food is high in salt, fat and calories. What about all of those "poor starving children in China" my mother used to nag me about cleaning my plate?

The same group that complained about the laws coming in to the bedroom, are now coming into the kitchen.

There's quite a few old Chinese around.
How many old vegetarians do you know?

LOL. The food the typical Chinese person in China eats bears little resemblance to the cornstarchy gloppy stuff served by most Chinese carryouts.

I eat Chinese maybe once a month, I doubt any permanent harm will come from it.

Chinese meals aren't the same as you get in America - I guarantee.
Americanized Chinese food is to authentic Chinese as Taco Bell is to Mexican fare.

That's the truth. My Chinese wife cooks everything in a wok. It's amazing how versatile that thing is - you can fry an egg, cook soup, cook a whole chicken etc. and all very fast. The thing that surprised me the most - she stir fries lettuce. Never had it before, thought I would hate it but was pleasantly surprised.

Having been in China, the New Territories at least, I can tell you that they would spit out what passes for Chinese food in most places here in the USA.

General Tso's chicken I don't know ... maybe it's bad for you and maybe it's not. But, I think we can all agree that it's bad for the chicken.
