"Rudy has ZERO credibility. "

Well, Forbes seems to disagree.

I think most people trust Forbes' judgment vs. yours.

No. "swamp", like flood, overwhelm, and get them sunk in a bog and not particularly mobile.

Well, Forbes seems to disagree.

Doesn't mean squat. Forbes has name-recognition - that's it. It's the equivalent of any random Wall Street investor endorsing Rudy except in Forbes' case he was born into wealth.

Flat Tax; Value Added tax;, etc.

The only tax that could possibly remain flat is a tax which is not subject to "tinkering" and social engineering by Congress or the Executive branch. And that tax is does not exist, and will not exist.

Passing and maintaining a flat tax is like throwing strikes that the batter can't hit - every time. Just won't happen.

The only fair tax is the tax that taxes you and not me. Next?

I am glad I was able to get you to reveal your true notions.

Do you also believe that on 9-11-2001 Bush flew the planes into the WTC too?

Thank you for revealing the true beliefs of the anti-Rudy posters -- they hate capitalism, hate Bush, and can't wait for Hillary to be president.

They try to claim to be conservatives, but, your/their occastional slips clearly show the opposite.

You do know that Giuliani and Hitlery are on the same page about most issues.. as he is with Ted Kennedy, John Kerry and Barney Frank.. OH!.. and Nancy Pelosi..

Man when you screw up, you take no prisoners. I am chairman of 3 multi million dollar companies, and on the board of another. I happen to believe that illegal immigration will destroy this country, and Rudy the jagoff is all for it. So is that little monkey on Forbes every Saturday morning, and Forbes minions are for them too! I have come to the conclusion that anyone who lives in NYC is intellectually incapable of running the country!

You have been here almost 10 years. Have you ever seen such a motley collection of obtuse FReepers who refuse to see Rudy for what he is. Even my hero, Jim Rob is mortified!!

think you are misunderestimating what a motivated red state grassroots electorate can accomplish against Hillary. But they have to be motivated.

Bush violated his conservative principles and the result was he could not motivate his base in '92. Bob Dole could not motivate the conservative base in '96. GWB just barely gained enough support against Gore in 2000 and it took a considerable grassroots effort to finally get him seated.

Without the motivated grassroots in '04, Kerry would probably be president today.

And due to a perceived lack of conservative principles in the Republican Party in '06, our side was not motivated and now we're stuck in our current situation.

You've got to give the people something to get the juices flowing. Sorry, Rudy's a great guy and he'll get half of our side going, or maybe even three quarters, but it's going to take an all out effort.

Why hobble our side with a candidate who is sorely lacking on basic conservative issues? He's not going to motivate the conservative right. Don't repeat the mistakes noted above. Violating the most basic conservative principles is a sure way to lose the election.

I stated that almost any decent, honest conservative Republican should win against Hillary, but he must be able to motivate his base to do it. Sadly, the social liberal Rudy Giuliani may be the one Republican of the top half dozen or so front runners who might fail to motivate the grassroots and therefore may actually cause a repeat of '92 and we say hello again to a President Clinton.
Do not repeat the now obvious mistakes made in '92, '96 and '06 and barely avoided in '00 and '04. Be sure the candidate we choose actually walks and talks the conservative platform!

Motivate the base. Win elections!

Good to see Steve endorsing Rudy!

Half the fun of supporting Rudy is seeing how pissed off it makes others.

LOL
