Especially considering the source, if any had been badly wounded Reuters would have said something that compared their woundings to the # of KIA since the beginning of the war.

The Terrorists now use Micheal Moore's F9/11 as a recruiting tool.

Worse yet, my Congressman, Rahm Emanuel's brother Ari was Moore's F9/11 agent.

I always get this part confused..since there weren't any US casualties, do the 15 Jihadists only get, like, 36 virgins apiece ?
---
Doesn't matter if they kill Americans or not, they all go to Satan's Own Club Gitmo.

Admittedly, that isn't the destination they expect, but...

And unlike Uncle Sam's Club Gitmo, they won't be gaining weight because of the fine cuisine.

Every time that they face our troops they take a beating.

1. That is why they now go after women and children.

2. That is why the Democrats are trying to weaken the military.

BTW, can anyone point me to how I can find out where the Garma area is? I must be searching wrong, because I can't find it anywhere. Please.

Cowards they ain't. Unless you want to call the Revolutionary War fighters cowards because they wouldn't form up in skirmish lines with the British Regulars.

Revolutionary war fighters did not disengage with the enemy the second that the enemy started firing back as these insurgents have done in every instance of an attack against my son's unit. Revolutionary war fighters also did not fire blindly and randomly at the Redcoats hoping to hit something vital without applying any real aiming as these insurgenst have done. No, the insurgents who have attacked my son's unit are indeed cowards. Perhaps other enemy fighters use different tactics, but these have demonstrated no wish to be engaged in a real firefight.

Getting desperate?

I think that this was one of those smaller combat outposts that Petraeus has been having the boys set up. I think that the Knuckleheads think that they might be able to overrun one of those smaller posts and score themselves some big press.

Let's hope that they keep doing a half-assed job.

Do you know generally how small? Like less than the 30 guys that tried to attack? Cause if so, that's pretty cool!

Not to equate the two (because equals they ain't) but the militia units that would muster up to fight during the Revolutionary War frequently fought just as badly or worse.

Put poorly equipped amateurs up against hardened professionals and the results are pretty predictable no matter what era you're fighting in.

I'm not certain about the numbers. I think that some are smaller or larger than others, and some have detachments of Iraqi troops and some do not. Given that the insurgents don't usually attack like this unless they have a numerical advantage I'd guess that the numbers were either roughly equal or they were hoping that the truck bombs would even the odds.

could be, the size of the attack is unusual. Let's see if we have anymore of these types of large assaults targeted at U.S. troops away from the Iran border.

It's been since the start of OIF that we've seen organized attacks of this size

Yes, it is true that the militia units from the Revolutionary war could not stand toe to toe with the British army units. However, there were militia units that used what are now called "gorrilla tactics" quite effectively. They would ambush British forces, and harrass them unmercifully as opposed to trying to line up in formations. For that reason the U.S. forces in that war were able to stand up to the British forces until reinforcements arrived from France (back when France had a backbone), and then the regular U.S. Army forces could be freed to place British forces into a pincher from both land and sea.

Try as they have, the insurgents in Iraq have not been able to muster up anything close to the successes Revolutionary forces had in using such tactics. In nearly all attacks against my son's unit, the insurgents have fired blindly at them with little to no damage done to either equipment or men. Even when trying to detonate a roadside bomb, they more often then not miss the intended target vehicle and instead just cause a loud noisy blast that destroys nothing but the roadway. We get from the media in this country reports of those rare instances when they hit one of our military vehicles (and our media show video of the same blasts over and over and over to give the impression that the insurgents are winning). Most of the killing taking place in Iraq today by these insurgents is against Iraqi civilian targets. They believe that this will cause the citizens of the U.S. to rise up against this war and force a political end to our presence in Iraq. They believe that they can win with propaganda (and our media and Hollyweird elitists are assisting them) as opposed to military force. We will lose this war only if our government is forced into abandoning our mission through politics.

Increased terrorist activity is always coordinated with like-minded action by the Democrats.

They were trying to put icing on the cake for the Democrat's surrender vote today.

The terrorists are desperately seeking to regain lost territory. Their only chance is to have the liberal media and the democratic congressional traitors support them.

They are going to have some gruesome attempts in the coming months. Let's hope that God, not that pig allah, takes care of them.
