What is this obsession that liberals have with seeing America destroyed?

I'm guessing they're tired of hiding under their beds and just want if over with.  Or they believe that the terrorist will spare them because of their undying support.

You should read this reply which contains Alinsky's rules for radicals and observe how many of them you utilize.

So much great commentary on this thread.

Absolutely...I believe this is FR at it's best.

You give them [Dims] too much credit. They think that they are the elite, entitled to be at the top of the heap, no matter what.

Machiavellian leftists use that character flaw to achieve the destruction of US, hoping to sink all boats, rather than raise those that can be raised.

No Phil, you need to get yourself a life and get over this fixation you seem to have developed for me, I'm sorry, but you're just not my type.

We're done here.

I also believe this vote is going to hurt them in the long run...Pelosi wanted to show her leadership ability. It's going to come back to bite her...

If we lived in a nation in which such treachery would come back to bite those who practice it, the Democrats would never have been handed the Congress last year.

Sorry, but I no longer have any faith in the American people. I especially no longer have any faith in the so-called "real" conservatives who have spent the better part of the last two or three years trashing President Bush here on this forum and elsewhere. When you discourage and demoralize the good guys into rage at the wrong enemy, don't be surprised when the bad guys win.

I have a life and I have no fixation with you. You're implying that I do doesn't make it so.
...I'm sorry, but you're just not my type.
Your "you're gay" inuendo, just like your "you're following me" BS, has been used before and here it comes back again, just as useless now as then.
We're done here.
You might want to pull that fork out first.

With few exceptions, Democrats are cowards, traitors, liars and fiends.

You persistent and neurotic hectoring are only demonstrating how mentally disturbed you truly are.

Get help Phil, get it as soon as possible.

I am pleased that my congressman (Lincoln Davis (D-Tn)), despite being a democrat, voted against this silliness. I wish more democrats were like him.

Yes...At least there are a few Dems left who put our country before themselves.

As regards the 218 members of Congress who voted for Jihad....

Yes, he put that very well but you have the answer to it.

You can largely answer the question you have posed by a re-read of the goals of the Communist Party that became part of the Congressional Record in 1963. These goals of the Communist Party in the late 50's, which have been largely realized, and of the Democratic Party in 2007 have much in common. A scary thought.

Take a look at this FR post from 2000:

The Naked Communist

Or read the Congressional Record version HERE

You sound like a great big WAH!
Someone turns the heat on you by calling you on your own words and all of a sudden they're "following you" or they're "the devil". /Bobby Boucheaux's Momma impression
You're a real piece of work. You've yet to even defend what I called you on.

an X-ray technician and daughter of a local union organizer who ended up in more than one paddy wagon as a protester in the 1960s.

Thanks for the link. It seems to run in the family.

All we need now is a Department of Justice willing to enforce the applicable laws.

Agreed...The attacks by the "real" conservative arm chair generals who want to elevate themselves in others eyes by degrading our president are getting old.

We need a John Bolton for an Attorney General and his first month in office should be used for a complete house cleaning.
