(To Marines, male bonding happens in Boot Camp, to Democrats, it happens at a Gay Pride parade...)
To: null and void
Yeah it probably looks real good on radar.
Regards.

I don't want to sound bigoted, but they all look alike. Isn't that the Su-27?
To: null and void
Not a bad looking bird.Especially in the sensors of an F-22.

Nice looking plane, looks about the size of a F-111. Gotta admit though...all the Russian stuff is starting to kind of look the same.

Well, given the state of their finances, makes sense to have similar platforms.
To: LdSentinal
You are not bigoted. I thought the same thing and it looks like they just designed a larger Su-27 with a radar cone on the tail.

I doubt this aircraft is any match for the Raptor.

General Michailov, who had been urging the acceleration of the programme since 2002 or otherwise cancelling it, announced that the first regiment of the new tactical bombers, likely to consist of 20 aircraft, will be deployed by 2010
Wow, now that's what I call 'acceleration'.
Hey, that's almost 7 a year if they start today!!!
Ivan, don't bring that vodka bottle to work, we are already way behind production quotas, da?

" In June 2006, defence minister Sergei Ivanov announced plans to buy 58 Su-34 bombers (NATO code: Fullback) by the year 2005 "
I always held that the place is retrograde and upside down. They even have the time flow reversed.

Different role than the Raptor. Think of an Intruder on steroids.
To: navyguy
Nor is it mean't to take on the Raptor.
To: sukhoi-30mki
Isn't this the one with a built in "head" for the crew and a microwave oven?
Regards.

Ivan's problem is not industrial capacity, but unstable funding. They built & delivered some 70 SU-30s to China in under 3 years from signing of the contract.
