models?
That said: If she was a cow, she would be doing all she could to get to the head of the line for the slaughter, and tell all the other cows that she was leading the way to Utopia...
Accepted, no harm done :-) (except of course by that foolish woman).
I respect her Right to say what she feels.
Now she can give back all that money the government gave her.
>>"Why is forgiveness seen as abhorrent?" she asked. "People were appalled when the Amish in Pennsylvania forgave the man who killed their children. We don't want our children killing other people's children."<<
Forgiveness is not abhorrent - it is the Christian thing to do. That is a separate issue from whether to enforce man's law.
Jesus was clear - render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's and render unto God that which is God's.
A good example is Jeb Bush's daughter. She forged a prescription. He loves his daughter and he forgave her. But he didn't do anything to interfere with her prosecution.
On a larger scale we can understand how poor Muslims are fired up to act against us - we can identify with the oppression and crimes by the Saudi government that offend even the wealthy Muslims. I understand how they may want to overthrow that government.
We can recognize that God will forgive if they repent.
But if they fly planes into buildings, man's law requires retaliation and punishment. Its not a conflict. Its the only way civilization survives - otherwise the wolves eat all the sheep.
Besting W. from the mother.
Welcome to FR. As you've probably seen, posting articles like this without a "barf alert", especially when one is a newbie, can lead to all sorts of grief :-(
Ditto on the welcome.
You can also avoid the (pointing fingers) by posting a comment with your article.
Thanks.
The article did not give the attendance, which was probably a full house given the wacko leftist mindset from up there.
Nice straw man.
I am sorry for her loss, but I will NEVER respect her opinion. To paraphrase the old chestnut, "Pacifism is the first refuge of cowards".
Hello.
She can forgive the pain that was done to her. That's her right. But no one can forgive someone for what they do to someone else.
And needless to say, none of her personal experience bears on what a free nation should do when its citizens and fundamental institutions are viciously attacked.
and last.
Husband was as demented as she; It's too bad they're not together.
I have nothing but compasion for all those who sacrificed thier lives on that day, but if you are a fan of history you know this response she is preaching shows the murdering bastards that we do not have the will to fight,we are weak and we are looking for a way out. We should stop playing these silly games and get the job done! Take out Iran, and then ask WHO WANTS TO BE NEXT! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I don't believe in this forgiveness nonsense.
