The funny thing is that O'Reilly would have you believe this is part of a war on Christianity.

And the irony may be that to the guys who passed the ban, it IS a part of their war on Christianity, but only because they have no clue what Christianity is, or what it's about.

Because OBVIOUSLY this is NOT part of a war on Christianity.

look at it this way, at least it's still a Bunny / Rabbit. Surprised they haven't gotten rid of the whole thing.

Actually, the most powerful form of thought police .... the figment of an imagination has been outlawed.

Think about that.

Why do you find it unbelieveable???? This has been coming for a long time and not many people have stood up to fight it. I'm not surprised. However, the Easter Bunny will ALWAYS be in our household no matter who says what. To hell with them.

They shouldn't replace the Easter Bunny with Peter Rabbit.

Of course, political correctness says that you can't mention "Easter". So to accomodate the politically correct, we have to ban any mention of Easter.

But why do they bring in Peter Rabbit? Are you people aware that in certain contexts, "Peter" is an obscene term? Namely, it can be a crude reference to the male organ. So don't we have to ban any terminology that can be construed as offensive?

No, only when it suits them. It's EASTER Bunny, EASTER Bunny, EASTER Bunny! WE have to stop giving in all the time. Oh wait...no one has the guts. I forgot.

At least they could have used Thornton W. Burgess's Peter Rabbit, an astute and worldly philosopher. Among his observations is as follows:
Whatever you decide to do,
Make up your mind to see it through.
from Mrs. Peter Rabbit, Aeonian, 1919

"They made the Easter Bunny illegal within the town? How is that possible? Will they be sending police into churches according to this rule?"

Well, the Easter Bunny doesn't get celebrated in Church, but that aside, one has to wonder how they will enforce this? Myself, I would go OUT OF TOWN to get anything I needed for Easter baskets, clothes, or Easter Dinner. Hit em in the pocketbook, it's the only thing they understand.

I prefer the "Equinox Bunny" who hides my car keys when I've had too much mead.
