Poland wants the pipeline to use as leverage - Poland's issues with Russia would then become Germany's issues with Russia because Polish actions could endanger the flow of gas to the West.
>>we are ALWAYS loyal to da family<<
that one part made me lmfao
Even major offensives require defensive fronts and defensive weapons. When the NAZIs invaded France in 1940, they did so on a narrow front, while the rest of their army was primarily defensive. That said, the Soviets built an army and a doctrine centered on driving across the North German Plain to the English Channel in less than a week. Warsaw Pact armies were not as well equipped because of the fear of insurrection (East Germany 1953, Hungary 1956, Czechoslovakia 1968, Poland 1981).
I'm not doubting that you were told that NATO was an offensive threat. What I'm telling you, is that the Soviet war plans never considered the possibility that NATO would invade, and were instead centered on a massive armored strike to put continental Europe under its control before American reinforcements could arrive.
