To be human unfortunately often means to be ruled by superficial reactions. I've heard people on FR discussing whether a political candidate "looks" Presidential as if that has some meaning.

Unfortunately it does have a bearing in this day and age on a candidates electability, w/ the general populace. To not realize that and to think it does not matter is folly. Please remember Nixon v. Kennedy.

why not film in Tulia????Right. I live about 85 miles southwest of Tulia, and I can't think of a single thing about New Orleans that resembles this part of Texas!
