"Or is it that you just don't want Jews in the US?"

Ok, you're the second person on here that's accused me of being anti-Semetic. Since you took enough time to post, then take enough time to read all of the posts before calling people names.

In my original post, I said from what I knew that Jews were mostly liberal, but I was corrected. A number of posters pointed out that European Jews tend to be more conservative while American Jews tend to be 75% liberal. Why don't you read the rest of the posts just like me?

After all, that WAS part of the purpose of forming that country now wasn't it.

Why the animosity towards Israel and Jews in general?

Furthermore, I think we SHOULD offer favored asylum/immigration status on those peoples who will love and join in our republic/democracy.

For the last 50 years we've been bringing in third world immigrants who not only HATE us, but want to change our way of life to the type of life they left in the third world.

Not all, but way too many for good health.

You go to Islamic websites????

Actually, if you'd pay much attention to posts relating to Islamicism here on FR, you'd note that there are sometimes excerpts from or links to Islamic websites.

You must be an Islamofascist terrorist!!!!!

Nice try, but you're the one who wants these Jews to die.

Who says they are innocwent? And not Socialists

Who says they are socialists and not innocent? By the way, being a socialist is not a logical reason to say they should just die at the hands of Islamicists. Only someone with a black heart would say such a thing.

If, as you say, they are the conservative leaning, credits to society, true to their faith and heritage

Please copy and paste where I ever said such a thing. Oh, that's right you can't. So you lie as well as hate.

You're a waste of bandwidth. You are dismissed.

Bull. Coming to the US is not their only recourse. And refusing them because they are socialists is a perfectly good reason.
Only a person with a thick heaeded brain and a wish to be a slave, and have their friends and families become slaves, welcomes the barbarians in through the gate.

Only fools rush out of their fortress to save one who betrayed them, as their betrayer is whipped by the enemy.

It is the type that will allways be slaves and persecuted
because of their "humanity" over basic common sense.

And before Nachum corrects me:
The word is 'Culls', not cullas.

Most French Jews who leave, do go to France. This asylum business is more to draw attention to what is happening than to actually ask for asylum. If these 7000 wanted to come to the US, most could simply get a visa and visit. In the article, this moved angered the liberal Jews in France. The percentage of Jews that are leaving France is fairly low compared to the total number of Jews in France.

Having said that, thousands are leaving. Most do happen to go to Israel. The US is the next destination, if they can get the green card. South Florida has a good number of expatriate French Jews. I have two neighbors here in Southern California that also left. They are both "right wing" conservative types, self employed businessmen with good education. Definately not socialists.

I believe asylum is only granted when the applicant has no other country willing to take them.

Asylum is granted if the applicant can demonstrate either past persecution (or the likelihood of persecution in the future) where that persecution is carried out on the basis of the applicant's race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or membership in a particular social group.

It does not matter (legally) if the applicant COULD be accepted in another country.

On the other hand, if the applicant DID ALREADY FIND refuge or permanent residence in another country and then came here and applied for asylum, it would be denied because the applicant had been "firmly resettled" in a third country, which would disqualify him.

Thanks. I'm not clear on this issue. I had an experience a few years ago with a refugee from Eastern Europe, lived here legally from about age 4 to 21 or 22, who on the one hand met the test for asylum based on religious persecution, but on another based on the nation of one parents birth, was eligible for citizenship in an EU nation, thus asylum here was denied. A single case, from which nothing can be extrapolated. And yes, other than asylum, which would have allowed employment after graduation, he had other legal alternatives. Still, the decision was based on eligibility for citizenship in a country in which he'd never lived.

Common sense often has no role in these decisions.

"You are incapable"
"Have you considered seeing a doctor"
"It's a dang shame that you cannot tell the difference"

Did anyone ever tell you you argue like a liberal?

I make a comment that "work visas turn into illegal immigrants" and you respond with nonstop ad hominems.

Are you any relation to Lenin or Stalin?
