Is the NYT's new slogan "all the 'news' that's older than dirt"?
-Eric
Somebody needs to help him take a dirt nap.
The future for America:
We all could live in a liberal paradise where only the criminals have guns, where those who criticize any of the utopian social engineering going on are persecuted as purveyors of "hate speech", and, finally, where the subjects will do what their intellectual betters tell them to do.
Iain Smith, Rhodesia's former white leader, governed much more fairly and prosperously, yet received a relentless pounding from the world media.
Where is the outrage here? Where is the talk of embargoes and intervention?
That's nice of them but how many people have had to die and suffer until they figured this out.
I guess he gives the "liberation struggle" a bad name so the "Times" wants him out.
A modern day Stalin that Hillary would purge from "the party."
Talk is cheap on this issue.
Mugabe makes me thoroughly angry.
Mugabe is just living proof of the truth that Africa's greatest curse is it's own leaders.
He isn't so bad Carter wouldn't support him.
He would propose foreign aid for him.
Zimbabwes Cuba's president, Robert Mugabe Fidel Castro, has spent much of his 26-plus years in power suppressing all opposition, persecuting defenseless minorities and destroying a once-promising economy. He has shamelessly tried to deflect all blame for the disastrous consequences including a man-made famine and a catastrophically mishandled H.I.V./AIDS epidemic onto international scapegoats, chiefly Britain and the United States.
Hugo Chavez is well down this dictatorial road as well. I seem to remember the lib media, including the N.Y. times feteing Mugabe in the beginning, much like they do Chavez now. It is simply amazing how dense many in the mainstream media are. Over and over, the libs idolize thugs like Stalin, Guevara, Castro, Mugabe and now Chavez. It really is a mental illness.
Insert, in first line of full paragraph after "Castro,"; and before "has spent" the following "who got his job through the New York Times,"
I guess maybe theyre worried the impending holocaust over there will make them look bad for all their previous years of cheerleading this despot. Only when things go to hell in a handbasket do they "find religion". I guess timing is everything.
Lousy, dishonest journalism doesn't improve when it's published in the NYT.
The Times finally noticed. They're right on top of things.
We should see the NY Times endorsement come out shortly...
Nonsense, Iain Smith was White, and therefore a genocidal monster. Africa is certain to become a peaceful and prosperous area once those white devils are all thrown out of power. Countries like South Africa and Rhodesia are certain to become paradises on earth if we could just bring international pressure to bear on such backwards and repressive regimes.
Time to ressurect all the pro-Mugabe pieces that have appeared in the NT Times over the course of those 26 years.
What hypocrits.
They have been cheerleading him all the way.
