With all the success the UAW and the unions in general have had, Toyota will be all over this! :p

It's not the union that hurt GM, Ford and Chryster; it's because they make crappy cars...just ask any liberal. ;-)

GM has given its workers more than $73 billion in benefits over the past 10 years
And they promise many billions more. They can't pay...but they can promise.

Yeah, the UAW wants to "help." They've driven the big 3 to the edge of bankruptcy, now they want to "help" Toyota do the same. Stupid union thugs.

I think the fact they don't allow the UAW is one of there key ingredient for success.

"We are THE UNION, and we're here to "help""
Why does that line scare the hell out of me??

I was thinking more along the lines of something from
The Sopranos.
"We want youse to continue to be a success. T'ink of how youse will build cars easier wit'out our boys bustin' out your kneecaps!"

"Which in turn means has meant $1,200 of every car GM sells goes toward health care costs. In contrast, Toyota's health care costs are about $200 per car."
Dang. Just dang.

Unions aren't too popular around these here parts...
To: darkwing104
or a veiled threat ... as in:
"the UAW wants to help make sure that Toyota's new factory doesn't burn down...by accident"

Yup...........If Toyota wants to go out of business, let the UAW in. Then they will be paying $50,000 a year for a guy to put a front bumper on. Why do people think their vehicles cost so much. If our automible manufacturers got rid of the unions, they could probably drop the price of a $50,000 vehicle to $30,000 and outsell Japan and everyone else.

The UAW wanting to "help" Toyota be a success is like Tony Soprano wanting to "help" keep hospitalization costs low!

Ironic.

"UAW wants to help Toyota "continue to be a success" Dear UAW:
Great! Keep doing what you are doing - driving the Big Three into bankruptcy.
Oh, by the way, we have filed for a restraining order. Stay the hell away from our plants.
Thanks for your support!
Sincerely,
Toyota management

Yes, I think we should require unionization of ALL foreign owned and operated companies in the U.S.

"continue to be a success."
Is that a joke or a threat?
GM/Ford are failures because of the unions, beloved of the left, who have received special privileges from the dems.
