ADM Fallon is the new CENTCOM commander. GEN Petraeus is the ground commander in Iraq. GEN Patraeus reports to ADM Fallon in military lingo...
To: Griddlee

So does this change the status for the Haditha marines or any others being prosecuted ...
To: Irish Luck
Yes, that's the admiral I meant.
Thank you.

I don't know. I'm far from knowing military law and the UCMJ.
The first Art 32 hearing was scheduled for the 21st for Lt. Col. Chessani but it's been postponed until May 30. The next scheduled one is for Lance Cpl. Sharrat on April 17.
We'll just have to wait and see I guess

Someone here said Savage is bi-polar. I'm beginning to believe it. He bashes Bush as much as any Lib I've heard and in the next breath harps on liberalism.
To: mylife
He was 54-55 during his first tour...now it will be 57-58....lol

Fox (Admiral Fallon) has General Petraeus' back on this. The chain of command will fully support the troops.
Properly fuzed ordnance, on target, first pass, any weather, any time. Intruders Forever!

General Michael Savage is not impressed with
General Patreus.
I'm always disappointed by cowardly insinuation. Yes, I've been hanging out on the Michael Savage threads this week. No, I'm not his spokesman or cheerleader.
I hope you're not going to follow me around and make Michael Savage references everywhere I go, or I'll bust you for stalking.
I have no idea what Savage thinks about General Patreus, nor do I care. I compare General Patreus to a Spartan as a means of honoring him.

I missed the part that says we are not here to take prisoners. We are here to kill the enemy.
To: jazusamo
Lettuce hope he actually means this.
It's a war.
Shitte happens. That's why it's not called a picnic.

Excellent news Jaz. I have always believed that the surge is a main cover to change the Rules of Engagements to be much tougher and of course the surge serves to increase the number of troops to HOLD the cleared areas. Everything is working according to plan :)
God bless our troops and their Commander in Chief.

It is excellent news JV. I'm hoping this completely takes care of the ROE problem so they can get in there and kick butt.
I also hope it'll help the Haditha Marines in some way, we'll just have to wait and see.

Oh, Griddlee, I understand you're a Korean War vet. Well then, go ahead and dump on me, and throw Savage's name at me anywhere I go.
I'll just take it with a grain of salt. Thanks for your service.
And if you think my occasional dumping on Bush and complimenting of Savage is in any way anti-military, then you're very mistaken. In fact,
last year I researched this information about our progress in Iraq and shopped it around here and there, finally gathered more than 2500 views. Not bad exposure for what is otherwise a dry government report.
In fact, I think I might do the same for the next quarterly report that comes out.
