That would be nice of course, but I have a feeling that the ACLU has four hard-Left attorneys at the perp's bedside at this very moment and they will find all sorts of reasons why the scumbag should be treated leniently in the courts. "sigh"

That would have been much better, wouldn't it? I am guessing that in hyper-regulated NYC, the regular non-SWAT cops are specifically barred from using the most effective types of ammunition that would have put down this scumbag like the rabid animal that he is.

Agreed. My great hope is that this sad event and others like it will not slip away from the public consciousness at the next elections.

I believe that a solid anti-illegal immigration candidate (whom the public could believe) would win handily. Among that candidate's biggest supporters would be the legal Mexicans and other immigrants. They are absolutely livid over this sort of garbage, because they went through A LOT of time and trouble in order to gain legal citizenship, and these illegal scumbags dishonor them.

Hernandez, who was in stable condition at Brookdale University Hospital, was charged with attempted murder of a police officer and criminal possession of a weapon. He also faces up to five years in prison for sneaking back into the U.S., authorities said.

Bull! This scum will receive free medical care, serve two years, be deported and back to commit another crime within five years. There once was a time someone like this would not have made it to the hospital.

Sadly, the scenario you describe is all too commonly true. I wish that we could surgically plant a chip or transmitter of some kind in this scumbag in order to track his movements after release. Data generated from such an event would be invaluable for supporting the candidacy of a TRUE Conservative / Anti-illegal immigration President.....being able to show exactly how poor and porous the border is along with illustrating the utterly vile, craven and bloodthirsty mindset of trash like this would make a campaign commercial that few could ignore.

There once was a time someone like this would not have made it to the hospital.

I think that this was before the age of the ACLU and cheap video cameras in the hands of leftist activists.
