You know what they say, "Call 911 then call Pizza Hut, and see who gets there first."

"The husband was uncooperative with the police officer, who used a Taser on him."

Yeah, after he chased her into an empty building and got stopped by the cops. He may have not cared or wanted to die. I just brought up a 3rd possibility, that he may have known she was running into an empty building. Who knows?

A few years ago, my parents went to NH to their summer home. They always call when they arrive, so we know everything is okay. They had not called about 4 hours after they should have been there. We called the town police and got an answering service, that the State Police cover the town on weekends. We asked they go by the house to check on them. It took about an hour, but luckily they did get there, and had them call us right away. Apparently these very small towns have quite a problem with a very small staff.

this was a municipal building that also included the police office. and since the police were off duty, the door would have been locked anyway. my guess is that she went into the building, not the actual police part. but the story is sexier if you say she ran into the police building and found it empty. just more media spin.

Just words. We all play with them, don't we? I was wondering why the door was unlocked too. It probably wouldn't have made any difference though. She needed a gun too. I don't jump on the wagon blaming the police though. They had things covered. It could just as easily have been an older, closed station.

i just sent the author this email:

"Hello,

I am writing about your story in the woman who was "killed in police station" by her husband. Was she actually killed inside of a police station or was she killed in a municipal building that contained a police office?

I find it hard to believe that the door to a police station was unlocked while it was empty. How many offices does this particular building contain, and why did you choose to single out the police station as one of the offices? Especially if that office was closed at the time. Would "Woman Killed in Municipal Building" not have carried the kind of journalistic punch you were going for?

Perhaps I am splitting hairs or reading into the story. Please set me straight.

Thank you."

you are right. she did need a gun. it doesnt say how the husband killed her. bare hands? gun? lots of stuff missing...

"You don't need a gun, just call 911 and the police will help you!". So says the anti-gun crowd.

Use the "Fa" word, go to jail

Threaten your spouse or ex as many times as you want, it's OK...
As long as you don't do anything.

Fantastic!

"The husband's execution is currently being held up in NC due to the AMA's issues with having physician assistance in administering death sentences."

I don't get that. Don't "doctors" do abortions??? What's the diff?

If he thought police were in the building, why would he have followed her inside?

Typically in a scenario like this there isn't a whole lot of rational thought being engaged in by the perp.

Probably. In the big picture it doesn't matter, I guess.
