Precisely why we should put him up for president.

Do you really think our country is that lost? I still believe we can reclaim America or I would not wish to wake up in the morning.

I never play when the house has the deck stacked and the dealer is a cheat. It's just bad sense. The fix is in and quite frankly in the long run it makes very little difference who gets elected. Bureaucratic DC runs the country and the Pres has very little ability to effect real change. The Federal budget can only be moved about 10% in any cycle due to entitlements and other obligations.

Actually we lost the country about 40 years ago and I can even make a strong argument that it went to crap in 1933 when Roosevelt took us bankrupt.

The recent polling that Giuliani supporters love to post at every opportunity shows Newt within 7% of Hillary in a head to head match up.

Chuck Norris knows of Newt's shortcomings, and still feels he is the only true Reagan Republican worthy to run for the office of President. See article below. Good enough for me!

Reading Chuck Norris lore like the following, I'd be afraid not to vote for Gingrich: Chuck Norris was originally cast as the main character in 24, but was replaced by the producers when he managed to kill every terrorist and save the day in 12 minutes and 37 seconds.

Imagine a debate between Hitlery, and Speaker Gingrich.

Just imagine.

Yes, the press would love to bait Newt in so they can then tear him up.

I looked at your homepage. With the exception of # 6, I think Duncan Hunter fills the bill.

And as for # 6, Hunter's position on international free trade is that it isn't free or fair.

Oh, and I like Newt!

How are poll results "baiting"? If that's the case they're really baiting Giuliani.

Which brings up another issue, if you think the press is going to continue to treat Rudy with kid gloves if he gets the nomination I've got a bridge in Brooklyn available.

Further... Newt is intelligent and knows his past failings need to be dealt with. Thus, recently on Dr Dobson's program he admitted those failings in saying, and I paraphrase, "I have done many things that fall short of my own moral standings, and I certainly have done many things that fall short of God's standings". In my view he is establishing, on well known and respected Christian venues, his failings. He is also picking up the support of respected right-wingers who have heard him apologize for his past actions. It will be "old news" by the time the conventions and election come.

Thanks for the replies. I've said before that I won't vote for a Republican candidate that has been elected in New York or Massachusetts.

I've been reading about Duncan Hunter, but don't know much about him. Newt is a battle scarred warrior. He can do the job, and we REALLY know him.

Oldngray: Me, too. Only, I call myself an o'far'.

"All anyone needs to do is bring out the video of him during the Clinton scandal demanding that the nation should not trust a man to uphold his oath of office when he can't uphold the simple oath he made to his wife, under God."

I for one would like to see that video. Where can it be found?
