"So the cultural divide in the country has gotten so bad that now the mainstream representatives of the two sides won't even appear on media they claim is slanted to the other? "
Woah, now, let's not presume symmetry where none exists.
The left are, as always, lying truth out of Texas when they say that Fox is more than half conservative. However, it would be perfectly rational for a conservative to refuse to make himself vulnerable to the moral lepers of the leftist media.
The increasing polarization, I think, can be explained in terms of this observation by Charles Caleb Colon: "He that is good, will infallibly become better, and he that is bad, will as certainly become worse; for vice, virtue and time are three things that never stand still." The demonrats have been getting worse and worse, prompting people to sort themselves out, with the opposition to the demonrats being pushed in the right direction in reaction.
In other words, I think it is a good thing, in that the identity and nature of the enemy are becoming clearer. For it is, in the end, just another iteration of the timeless battle between Good and Evil.
Nicer legs too I'll bet.
Besides the dems want people to actually watch and the best rated network is FOX.
Actually, he said he can't make it because he's washing his hair that night.
What a girly-man he is.
God these Dims are whiny bastards. Imagine George Bush boycotting CNN in 2000.
Sissy Edwards!
ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, PBS are all mouthpieces for the Democrat party.
FNC is fair and balanced and they can't handle that truth!
I couldn't have said it better myself.
You've got to admire Roger Ailes. Here are some of his comments from his acceptance speech for the RTNDFs 2007 First Amendment Leadership Awardlast last night.
"Any candidate for high office of either party who believes he can blacklist any news organization is making a terrible mistake about journalists. And any candidate of either party who cannot answer direct, simple, even tough questions from any journalist runs a real risk of losing the voters. The public knows if a journalists question is unfair. They also know if a candidate is impeding freedom of speech and free press. If you are afraid of journalists, how will you face the real dangers in the world?"
Poor little John can't take the pressure.
