My guess is, on the Dim side, that Gore and Obama are splitting the far left vote. If you combine those two, that number beats Hillary 40-36.

This shouldn't be a surprise. Only he and McCain have any name recognition at this point (single factor for at least 80% of poll respondants) and most Republicans hate McCain.

I think Obama is going to catch up to and overtake Hillary. I doubt Hillary could stand to go for a dream team type arrangement and offer Obama the VP slot, and I doubt Obama would take it. He would likely counter Hillary take the VP slot.

I have only ONE concern. I'm afraid that Pataki will announce tomorrow that he's endorsing Rudy. That would hurt. Of course, he'll do it..trying to suck up so that he can get a Cabinet position. I'd make him Ambassador to, say..Bolivia..

I remember when Howard Dean was the front runner a few years ago. It's a long way to the primaries.

Not one word about conservatism in the entire poll.

So what are Rudy`s stances on the major issues of concern to conservatives?

Conservatives DO NOT support big government.
Conservatives support limited government.
Rudy supports big government liberalism.

Conservatives DO NOT support gun control.

Conservatives DO NOT support an assault weapons ban.

Conservatives DO NOT support abortion on demand.

Conservatives DO NOT oppose a ban on partial birth abortion.

Conservatives DO NOT support special rights for homos.

Conservatives DO NOT support amnesty for illegals.

WIth numbers like these, I beleive it will be very hard for the Gorebot to stay on the sidelines past September.

September is waaaaay too late. Gore needs to assemble a war chest by then. He's in it by July or not at all.

Well, you have to admit that it's interesting a) Hunter hasn't moved in several polls now. Zip.

2) Newt is slightly falling, despite many national talks.

Are you going to contend that people don't know Newt is a conservative?

I bought a copy of Giuliani's book "Leadership" several years ago when it came out. I'd like to get it autographed. Hope he comes to my town soon for a campaign rally, hehehe.
