But they should know when it comes to our love of the environment, we're not that different. The author is different. Licia actually has good environmental practices.

Never heard of the guy, but a bit of research reveals he's just another professional chicken little living large off the guilt of the masses.

Do we really want to give self-appointed environmental hall monitors out there telling us that our vehicle is too big for our needs? I love exposing hypocrisy as much as the next fella, but nobody should determine what my needs are but me.
Suzuki has invited this behavior, of course. So have at 'im!

You can get up to speed on elite, publicly funded, ecco charlatan David Suzuki fast with a FR key word search by
environonsense which I try to always include with anything I post on Suzuki, Al Gore & the battle on-going up here against green social fascism.
While the North American left sees short term advantage in promoting the Kyoto Accord & related insanity, we should ask ourselves, as the ancient Romans did when trying to figure out explanations to certain actions:
"Cui prodest?" (Who gains?)
Ultimately the principal beneficiary:
RED CHINA !!!

Carbon foot print is now "THE" cliche buzz word. Who would have thought? I'll have to use it at every opportunity -- like at a restaurant I'd order a steak, "well done with little carbon foot prints on it, please" or "do you have shoes laces that go with carbon foot prints? -- size 12, I believe" or "Where is that bus going? To get more carbon foot prints?" Like it makes no sense but neither does Al or Suzuki, so why not get mileage out of it! Buzz words ARE COOL!!!!!
To: GMMAC
I'm sure Suzuki is buying global warming indulgences so he is absolved of all his environmental sins.

There was a post a couple of week ago about him bashing Canada's conservative government's re-evaluating Kyoto in terms of what it's going to cost for a vaporous "benefit".
I don't recall hearing anything about him up until I read that piece, either.

I love this planet, always will, Well, since it's currently the only one you got that provides you with a habitable environment...
Where do newspaper find these writers?

"Where do newspaper find these writers?"
Not to worry - just a little literary slip.
Do a Google search on "Licia Corbella" & you'll find she's right-thinking 98+% of the time.
"There was a post a couple of week ago about him bashing Canada's conservative government's re-evaluating Kyoto in terms of what it's going to cost for a vaporous "benefit". "
Essentially, PM Harper & the Conservatives have been deflecting the left's pro-Kyoto enviro insanity & fear-mongering by promotiong a 'made in Canada' approach to all environmental issues.

Suzuki is a hypocrite. The late Steve Irwin was so far ahead of him when it comes to genuine concern for the environment. I wonder how much wilderness Suzuki or Al Gore have purchased in a bid to save endangered species?

In Al Gore's case, he likely reconciles it with:
" So, how big can the endangered species vote be?
I mean, it's not like there can be that many of them.
And how many actually go to the trouble of voting?
Plus, what percentage are big campaign contributors? "
