Bondage photos among evidence found in Nowak’s car

Recently, Houstonist had been thinking about how it seems a long time since we had any Lisa Nowak-related news. And then, voila! — a Florida judge agreed to unseal certain documents related to the case of the lovelorn astronaut, and now we know some of the stuff she was carrying in her car when she made her infamous cross-country trip to intercept a romantic rival at the Orlando airport. Among the items in her possession: nearly $600, 41 British pounds, 69 mysterious orange pills and a computer disk containing images of bondage scenes. (All that is in addition to the items that were initially reported, which included rubber tubing, gloves, a steel mallet, a BB gun and a knife — check out photos of the stash on KHOU’s website.)

Nearly all the images on the disk showed bondage scenes, according to records from the Orlando Police Department. Some were drawings and others were photographs of a woman, but it’s not clear whether that woman is Nowak. In any case, officials concluded that neither the photos nor other information found on USB drives in Nowak’s car had any direct relationship with her alleged plans to kidnap U.S. Air Force Capt. Colleen Shipman, who apparently was Nowak’s rival for the affection of astronaut Bill Oefelein.

Looks like the inventory is about the only thing that will be made public for a while: According to the Chronicle, the judge has preemptively sealed any psychological evaluations and notices of intent that could be used in an insanity defense. Further, attorneys on both sides of the case have been ordered not to communicate verbally with the media. Nowak, you’ll remember, was fired from NASA and is now working for the Chief of Naval Air Training in Corpus Christi, and NASA Administrator Michael Griffin said Oefelein’s future with the agency “has not been settled yet.”

Could it be that Nowak copied the naked pictures of a female in bondage from Oefelein’s computer. She copied everything else from his computer. I would say it is possible, why else would she have these pictures unless she copied them to the disk from his computer? He comes across as the type to be a porn site visitor. After all, he isn’t exactly an upstanding citizen. Honesty and integrity don’t seem to be his thing.
