My, my, aren't you the dramatic one.
Well, he's certainly a better pilot. As for "human being", at least I haven't participated in a process that destroyed any marriages. Let's just say he certainly isn't a model citizen.
Is Bill O'Reilly divorced? I don't know anything about his personal life, except that he grew up in Levittown, NY, and that his father was an accountant, oh, and I think he drives a Lexis.
Look, I'm sorry if this guy is your friend. I'm sure it hurts to have someone you respect raked over the coals. But in this case he deserves it - let's hope he learns from his mistake and avoids similar problems in the future.
Please know that should the facts come out, I will do all I can to make that phrase your permanent tagline. You dont know anything about it. NOTHING.
Bill O. = William Oefelein, not O'Reilly.
"I mean, OK, so she started whistling Crazy on You by Heart but I figured she just liked the tune"
--Cmrd. William "Mr. Sensitivity" Oefelein
Sorry, but you'll have to do better than bluster.
For some reason, the NASA astranauts do not have to adhere to the Uniform Code of Behavior; otherwise you are right, they would be subject to court martial. I will bet after this there will some serious consideration to change this peculiar exemption.
The pilot admits to a romantic relationship with a married woman and mother of small children.
He has cheated those children of an intact family because he preferred to scratch his itch instead of doing the manly thing and telling the married woman to go home to her kids and leave him alone.
I don't care if she offered herself naked on a gold plate, real men don't do other men's wives.
That makes him a cheat.
I agree with your opinion concerning Oefelein.
Not only did he contribute to the breakup of 2 families the news today revealed how CLUELESS the guy is when it comes to women!
He told his new hottie that the other lady was "ok" with his new relationship and was even "happy" for him.
Oh dear...she left her marriage and kids for him, but he says she's "happy".
What a wingnut.
Maybe the article saying that CDR O admitted to having been romantically involved with CPT Nowak since 2004 had something to do with me leaping to the conclusion that they'd had sex
I know you believe that Naval Aviators are a unique breed, but I doubt many of your peers would say that a romantic involvement between a man and a woman does not include sex.
I would hav given the guy the benifit of the doubt until that statement, Maybe he was innocently being stalked by a nut.
Admitting to being romantically involved with Nowak since 2004 kind of blows that theory
No pun intended
I was so confused. Thanks.
I really have heard from someone who has met "Bill O." that he is just a really, really nice guy, and that they were aware of his involvement with the second woman, but not Nowak.
I have been reading thru these posts and your post is the first one in the last 20 that didn't contain some personal attack. And it was a thoughtful statement.
Yes, but it takes two to tango
She flew as flight engineer on her only flight. Some of those who flew in the FE seat has made it to the front seats, first as pilot and later as commander. I believe Frank Culbertson is one of those who did. They also have to make 1,000 flights in the Shuttle Training Aircraft.
Fair's fair!
She was seeing someone else, too:
He gave her flowers, and she let him have her scarf to tie to his lance joy stick gun barrel sleeve.
It was a very chased chaste romantic relationship.
