Steve Forbes 2: Electric Boogaloo
If he doesn't have a new Mercedes, a Rolex, and $800 loafers, they'll spot him as an interloper.
Somehow, I don't think he'll fit in....
"to about 80 people "
Seems to me that Hunter is the only candidate talking about issues. Everyone else is busy playing popularity contest. In the case of Hillary she's doing Foghorn Leghorn impersonations.
Still, he's better than Tancredo & Ron Paul, the other real Republicans in the race, because of his military experience, his hawkish views against Red China, and he walked the walk on border security while Tancredo yapped about it like one of those miniature dogs.
Nearly all Americans when reading this article are saying....who the hell is Duncan Hunter and why would I want a guy with Hunter as his last name as president...?
He is a great guy, but Hillary would win in a cakewalk blowout.
It may be a small crowd and small press, but it's good press, unlike Giuliani's.
I am all for a fence, but not in Texas. In Texas the Rio Grande is the border. Erecting a fence would deny a whole bunch of cattle their water.
Yeah, but you know what they say. Those 80 people will tell their friends and relatives, and those friends and relatives will tell their friends and family about Hunter.....
Hard to argue with any of that and I am anxious to hear the details he has in mind. The article did mention some details on getting the Mexico border fence built by a date certain, but lacked detail on the other matters. Where Duncan mentions the inability to procure military parts from American companies, I'd really like to hear what he has in mind to alleviate that problem.
He doesn't exactly have his feet firmly planted in realism, does he?
"He is a great guy, but Hillary would win in a cakewalk blowout."
That's what I say as well. Hillary would win ALL the electoral votes and some 85% of the popular vote agaist Hunter as an opponent.
Cowboy: Not bunch, herd.
City boy: Heard what?
Cowboy: A Cow herd.
City boy: I've got nothing to hide!
And hopefully the thoughtful ones who care about who gets elected president will find out who he is and what he stands for.
why would I want a guy with Hunter as his last name as president...?
That is just plain ... well, ridiculous.
LOL. I say boy, I say
Hey Jim, since this campaign folderol has started so early, I'm backing Hunter at this time. Plenty of time to make up my mind during and after the primaries. What say you? I already know how you feel about Giuliani. How do you feel about Hunter at this early time?
FMCDH(BITS)
I really don't know yet, but I'm trying to find out.
Hilton Head? Is he golfing or campaigning? Seems to me he needs to be booking larger venues if he is going to get anywhere or people will still be asking who he is a year from now.
