I'm still waiting for Gore to get up and say "Oops, never mind".
To: Gene Eric
Seriously. Did this guy party with Derrida or Foucault. The French have done more to screw up modern thinking than any other group.

It is good to see some scientists are waking up to their own delusion. There are so many areas where people believe things that are patently unprovable or just demonstratively false. Much of it goes back to a subculture that has been taught from public school forward to believe that mankind is a source of the unnatural, the polluted, the poisoned. The whole of history before man doesn't seem to exist for those who embrace the self hatred of themselves and the human race.

Mr. Gore, is there any one mistake you've made that you wish you hadn't and what was that?
Yes, I was given wrong intelligence and I based my entire thought process and actions on that ... for that I am sorry.
Then I awoke ....

Derrida was a jolly old soul. No harm there. The other one, though, was miscast and should have been a math professor.

You know THE ALMIGHTY ACADEMY gave Gore that Oscar as a sympathy vote due to their inability to pull off getting him into the Oval Office by fraud and deceit and bribes. In doing so, they painted him into a corner that only the humblest of men would ever try to get out of, having once seen the light. But they also helped further to blind him to the truth by reinforcing, and rewarding, the untruths.

In the article:
Dr. Allegre now sees global warming as over-hyped and an environmental concern of second rank.
Maybe there exists a fear among certain scientists they have created the 21st Century's Weapon of Mass Destruction: Global Hysteria. Wherever this issue settles, what rational minded scientist would want to contribute to global anxiety. Allegre may be feeling the need to temper the zeal and check for errors.
To: GretchenM
Dr. Claude Allegre, a well-respected and renowned French scientist, who is unqualified to read the local weather reports on the Weather Channel.

It strikes me that any scientist worth his salt is going to have to come to the same conclusion Dr. Allegre did, and if scientists had demanded proof before running out like Chicken Little to scream, Disaster, we wouldn't be in this mess, where a theory is touted as absolute fact, and national policies are written based on the theory.

The defection of top scientists from the man-did-it global warming camp will encourage other scientists to expose this Marxist scam.
Six more months and we'll be talking about global cooling or trying to ban H2O as a pollutant.
To: GretchenM
You've gotta' fell really bad if you're a scientist on a government grant, charged with the mission of proving man-made global warming, and you know it's a steaming pile...but it buys the groceries.
A lot of climate scientists are between a rock and a hard place right now. If the dam ever bursts, we'll be overrun with reports of pseudo-science hanky panky that has been going on all this time.
