My mother missed quite a few things in my life. As I grew up and got out of my self pity stage - I realized there were reasons why. I never held it against her. I come from divorced parents too just like Andrew. Self pity is a big thing with kids during that time of divorce. Believe me. Seems like Donna Hanover did her dirty work with her kids too. One thing Andrew said is that he loves his dad and he will make a great president.

For the 'record' I attended everything my son(s) ever did in school and afterward, including the younger ones graduation at PARRIS ISLAND. The ex-marine is finishing school while he hones his skills as a screen writer actor and director and is the manager and sous chief at a local restaurant. He is also an expert french horn and trumpet player, He went to the Military School OF Music and played in the Second Marine Band for four years.

His older brother has a degree in Classical Piano Performance and has played at the Spoleto Opera festival in Italy twice, when not doing that he runs a large retail store chain. They are both Renaissance men and can cook expertly, sing, paint, mend their own clothes and generally make their 'scumbag' parent proud.

I'd be willing to listen to an explanation. It was about 3 years ago. Maybe he was in the hospital or has some other really good eplanation, but I doubt it.

He also learned of his daughters acceptance to harvard from a newspaper. That one is a little more understandable, but still reeks.
