I am, in short, unelectable. From your post, it sounds like it. From your description, you'd never make it to the general election. And that, from your description, would be the electorate's loss.

As a joke, it leaves something to be desired but Ann Coulter is right John Edwards is a phony.I agree with you...conservatives constantly bash President Bush and the Republican leadership for allowing demos to demonize conservatives without responding. Well, I for one am glad Ann is a loose cannon at times...she says things that I and many of my conservative friends say at home and I'm glad she is way out there. Maybe she should have called the Breck Girl a girly man rather than a faggot...I still laughed when I read it.

Unfortunately, she is making the Democrats LTAO while the Republicans are getting frenzied.
If you or I say it, in a barroom or on the forum, who cares?
But if you or I say it at a high profile Republican event while at the podium, it's a big deal and it creates unwanted headaches for the party.

I love that picture of Ann...she does need a little help on her thumb placement.

Edwards as a "phony" hits the nail on the head, and is far better than to slur him indirectly as a "faggot." Everyone here could agree on that. Ann's comment has been divisive.

OK, OK--are you insinuating that my post was a HUGE understatement??? ;>)

Some here haven't a clue what they are. ************
Yes. Just as Clinton redefined the meaning of "is", some have redefined the meaning of "conservative".

Read my tagline.
Too many so called leaders of the party are, in short, wimps. Spineless; without a hunger; too interested in getting along with the opposition and believing there can be common ground with them.
Coulter said nothing harsh or detrimental to the Conservative movement. Coulter could have been tougher, but that's her call as to what to say and how to say it. Coulter is not known for niceties. Coulter is a known quantity and the fact that she spoke there shows me that her commentary is thought worthy by some organizers.

My flame suit was melted off on this thread.
I think the next time I jump into such a volatile topic, I'll do it from an Abrams tank.

Yes. Just as Clinton redefined the meaning of "is", some have redefined the meaning of "conservative".The word has never been "redefined". The squeamish are intent on co-opting it.

Or maybe from a B-2 stealth bomber, loaded with GPS guided munitions. Hmmm... dumb bombs or smart bombs... guess it will depend who you are replying to. ;)

It is really sad when two beauties like these have to show the piddle pants republicans how to be men.

That's true and that is why when all the candidates are called out to respond to Ann's comment, they will all distance themselves from it.
I would much prefer they not be put in such a position for something so trivial.
