Gore is a lunatic. He doesn't stand a chance.

Gore is far less threatening than either Hitlery or Obama if things go badly for us in '08.

Not to say he'd be good on foreign policy, just less dangerous.

If he loses 30-40 pounds and cultivates his newer laid-back style, he could waltz off with that nomination.

He is as staunch a supporter of the military as you will find in this country.

Maybe he used to be.

Gore is a lunatic.

We know that, but the sheeple don't. And all his lunatic rantings of the last 6+ years will get flushed down the memory hole by the MSM if he jumps in.

He doesn't stand a chance.

IMO, he stands the BEST chance of all the 'Rat candidates: Hillary, Obama, and Edwards included. In addition to being an anti-war moonbat since day 1, Gore stands for something (his global warming garbage) other than GWB-bashing. And he would create a 'giant sucking sound' of Hollyweird and Soros money being pulled out of the Hillary and Obama campaigns and into his. Not to mention that he has quite a bit of his own cash to spread around.

I've been saying it since the 2004 election: be very afraid of an Algore candidacy. If Iraq is still a major issue this time next year, he's a shoe-in. Mark my words ...

What happened to him?

I'll just add that if we see a reduction in his "gay lisp" during speeches, ... RUTROH!

Is there anything more funny than his southern-gay-robot speak?

I feared Gore playing possum like Newt, and then coming into the race after Hillary! and Obama have beaten each other senseless. But after the "Gore is a hypocrite" story got more play than "Gore won an Oscar", I'm not sure.

It reminds people of the former "I'm going to explain this like you are a 5-year old" Gore.

I am beginning to think the Tennessee Center for Policy Research is a Hillary! front group.

Look at the Hillary! opponents who have self-immolated. Edwards giant house followed by Bloggergate. Biden's idiotic comments. Now Gore implodes.

Edward's Iowa stealth campaign, learned from Kerry? Too early. And while Edward's populism is attractive in Iowa, moonbat bloggers are not.

It leaves Obama and Richardson.

Hillary! tried to turn Geffen's comments against Obama, but it is not working, because everyone knows Geffen Spoke Truth to Power(tm). However, now with Charitygate, Hillary! seems to be struggling. And the rabid left does not like Hillary!

Hillary!s appeal to single women? That is for the general, not the primaries, especially the early primaries.

Flip-floppers and pompous asses are not going to be president. This is why Osama interests Democrats to begin with. He comes across as unassuming, and does not have enough of a record to be a flip-flopper.

I think Hillary!s campaign is coming off the rails.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest an Obama/Richardson ticket will be the outcome of the Demonrats primary.

With an enthusiastic press machine behind them, they would be difficult to beat. They are both personable, articulate, and neither has much of a record to run against. They are pretty much a blank slate, they can be anything the Oprah watchers want them to be.

I agree with you. Gore is an embarrassing maniac, it wouldn't be long before people remembered that. Obama and Richardson are lightweights, but likeable.

"Some are still laughing. Republicans shoudn't."
Why, an extra clown would be amusing. But I've heard Gore is too busy inventing fire, loincloths and the use of wheel.

Does Gore still hate the Clintons enough to do it? He'd be the perfect spoiler.

I don't think many Republicans have much of a memory. Al Gore barely lost to GW. Al has had time to study the landscape and pick his fights. In the public's eye...he didn't vote to approve of the war (but he couldn't have anyway)...but he has stuck by his guns from day one on...that he wasn't in favor of it. This is going to be one of the top three topics that run in his favor when he announces in November (after winning the Nobel peace prize).

This is a written script...the guy who played the outsider...waited and waited...and then surged to beat Hillary...then taking Obama as VP and sweeping across the US talking about bringing the country "together". McCain can't be Al...in debate...Al wins over him easily. Rudy has many issues throughout the south...and isn't going to be readily accepted. This is Al's race...and he will likely win unless the the conservatives get their act together.

I'm thinking eight years of Al...unless something drastic happens over the next 18 months. We had better put major effort into winning a majority in at least the senate.

When I suggested Gore would be a formidable candidate months and months ago, people laughed. Some are still laughing.

I'm not laughing. I think Gore is even money with hillary for the nomination, and he is gaining whereas she is stagnant. He can ride his white environmental horse and avoid all the nasty infighting while she has a headache with Osamabama on her immediate left.

Next time you see your friend tell him a lot of mainstream conservatives think he's a jerkoff and a sell-out.

Of course, how many of us remember some of our Gore-voting friends saying after 9/11 that while they hated to admit it, they were glad it was Bush in the White House instead. Nothing's changed with Gore since then, and I sure as hell wouldn't trust him with the War on Terror.

Nothing there I would disagree with, except that the average voter today is more worried about an ice floe in the arctic ocean than about a billion rabid moslem dogs snappping at our heels with nuclear teeth. Face it, if the muzzies are smart enough to hold off on another major attack for a few years, we have lost the "war on terror."

And that's the saddest of all, isn't it? That we may or may not be raising the earth's temperature by what - 1! degree every 50 years is more upsetting to a large segment of the populace than the idea that millions of potential splodydopes would willingly and happily kill every last one of us that wears a Crucifix or Star of David.
