Not all progress is progress. I like the idea of a phone that doesn't require daily recharging, however.

For some reason, I reacted to this differently from my norm.
I don't usually think in conspiratorial terms, but it occurs to me that making these devices indispensable is the first step to marking the location of the users. Longer intervals between charges will make it even more effective in that regard. JMHO.
