Now that I've thought more about it, this article sounds pretty fishy in a number of ways. Here's some speculation for you: Why the big announcement that it must be terrorists? Why going out of their way to point out that "some" of the French group (not casualties, just the group) were Muslims? Why failing to mention (as some Freepers on this thread point out) that it is forbidden (usually means death in Islam) for non-Muslims to be where these people were?

Put it all together and I would not be surprised if what happened was some total non-Muslim white French people went into an area with French Muslims, thinking it would be OK, then were machine gunned immediately by Saudi soldiers or police, then it was spun as "we believe in terrorists", knowing they would get kudos for "changing their point of view" when in all probability it was the Saudis themselves who executed these people.

Given the deceptive, conniving Muslims, I'd think this scenario rings truer than what I read in the story.
