"The woman who was dismissed from the jury is an art history expert and scholar who formerly served as a curator of prints at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She was also the only juror who did not wear a red T-shirt as part of the jury's Valentine's Day greeting to the court."

According to an article on Yahoo News she was formerly with the Met, not MOMA. Either way, anyone who has held a significant curatorial position in the NY art world in the past few decades is almost certain to be well to the left of center. On one thread it is claimed that she repeated to fellow jurors a "joke" about the case that she saw on one of the late night shows. If so, it can be imagined that it was probably pretty caustic toward Libby and/or the WH, not toward the prosecution. Anyway, we really don't know anything yet..........

Ryan's crew taking bribes for licenses got people killed by unsafe drivers. Those kinds of Republicans we don't need. Prison is where they belong.

"Fitzgerald does not need this. He has enough work to stay in Chicago for a century. There is no additional money here for him."

I can't tell that he is doing anything there.

Absolutely. And you probably have no idea what his politics are, still, he or she will deliver mail to leftwingnuts, patriotic conservatives, the elderly, the young, and everybody in between.

That's how you get a federal retirement. It takes intense honesty and an outstanding work ethic.

The one thing he should do is to avail himself of Employee Assistance Programs. In the dreaded private sector, a manager may require an employee who is experiencing issues that manifest into problems at work to go to EAP.

That may be. I think he just lost it, for whatever reason. That Libby defended Marc Rich, lost and Clinton pardoned Rich should not be an issue for Fitz to have with Libby. And yet, it seems that he does.

In reading the leftist legal blogs, they seem to believe that his real objective was Cheney. But considering that even Jeralyn Merritt of HuffPo and TalkLeft asserted that Fitz didn't make his case, he's got nothing. Firedoglake is more hopeful for a conviction, but you have to take a writer's own beliefs into account.

It's too reasonable after reviewing the unofficial transcripts to come to the conclusion that everyone forgets things and even taking my views into consideration, it seems that at least one juror is apt to say, it's reasonable that it was a forgotten or misremembered item.

The art curator is more likely to be rabid anti Bush, which would have helped the government's case. And the alternate may also be a candidate that both defense and prosecution see as anti Bush.

Fitz isn't going to receive much in the way of accolades if there's a mistrial and I would be shocked if he could let it go.

How did you infer she was a pro-Libby vote?

I think he's nuts. I do not think he's angling for a book deal. I do think he and Comey were angling for a high appointments in a Kerry Administration though.

"Fitzgerald does not need this. He has enough work to stay in Chicago for a century. There is no additional money here for him."

"I can't tell that he is doing anything there."

If I created my own work and made up my own work schedule, I'd be booked solid for the next century, too.

It's back to persecuting penniless Mohammedan cabbies with Legal Aid lawyers if Fitz loses this.

I personally feel it's more a case of Fitz's ego. He desperately wants to "get" Cheney and Bush and can't allow himself to admit he doesn't have the evidence. Why else would he spend so much of his rebuttal slamming Cheney and Bush rather then trying to make his case against Libby?

He has been convicting Democrats for what is called "the Hired Truck" scandel. Bribery, political corruption, influence peddling, fraud all standard Democrat practices are involved. In fact, he is investigating one of Obama's chief financial backers at present.

I'm afraid Libby is going down the tubes. Why wasn't the fact that Andrea Mitchell's comments about all the reporters knowing that Wilson was married to CIA person Plame allowed into the trial? Andrea's info whould have contradicted Russert's testimony. Why wasn't the fact that Fitzgerald knew the source of the leak before talking with Libby allowed into the trial? Too bad the defense couldn't have called Fitzgerald as a witness.

I think the only way they can get a conviction is if they have an all RAT jury.

This is a good thread for Libby discussions today. If we don't get a verdict today someone should open one called: LIBBY TRIAL DAY 4 JURY DELIBERATION DISCUSSION THREAD tomorrow.
