They say the Academy is composed of thousands of secret members, but the manifestation of who receives Oscars leads me to believe the Academy might only be staffed by a handful of idiotic liberals known as that man behind the curtain.

I found it ironic that Al Gore was there, talking about the morality of fighting global warming... in a room full of people wearing million dollar outfits and talking about helping the poor, as they bowed down to a golden Idol and prepared for their post-celebration parties where men would lay with each other's wives and other men as if morality was only something for discussion, not for action.

Even more ironic, my wife and I had studied Matthew 6 earlier in the morning, and it was as if Jesus had forseen their claims of righteousness, which he had, and illustrated it so perfectly.

One thing I can say for the winners and the losers last night, they have been paid in full.

I actually watched the Oscars last night and was astonished to see that Al Gore did NOT win an Oscar. "An Inconvenient Truth" did win in the documentary category, and the Oscar was given to its director, Davis Guggenheim. Guggenheim handed the Oscar to Al Gore to hold while he uttered his thank yous (OK, Guggenheim was inspired by Al). Al then got a highly prized photo op holding the fabled trophy.

Al no more got an Oscar than Leonardo DiCaprio did when the movie in which he acted, "Departed," earned Best Picture and Best Director. At least DiCaprio has the consolation of a best actor nomination. Well, in the world of the left, it's perception, not fact, that carries the day.
