I've watched Roy's talk and demonstration umpteen times and I still love it. He is not only a great speaker, but his teaching techniques are impecable---and he has ALL the facts!

You can check out the affect of those "few" at the link in post #38, on this thread. Roy Beck, of Numbers.USA, gives you the "straight skinny" on the true meaning of immigration numbers.

I daresay it will scare the "glib" right out of you.

As the proud wife of a LEGAL immigrant to the US, you are preachin' to the choir! I know the numbers are probably bigger than what we hear on the news media...I just hope Congress wakes up before it is too late. :-(

"Can you imagine-- Mexico complaining about the U.S. and borders?"

Imagine it?

We're getting more used to it by the day.

I'm only waiting for the US government to begin complaining about enforcing laws governing the borders...

Ooops!
Been there.
Done that.

Lately.

Did you watch Roy Beck's video? I've been worried about illegal aliens for a long time, but I was stunned to hear that legal immigration is so high---and that it was going to affect our future so abysmally.

It's time that Mexico get up off it's rear end and quit pooping on us.

Mexico must shape up their awful country, muslims must shape their awful religion up as well.

Mexico is offloading their economic problems on the United States. Illegal immigration also means there is a steady stream of money flowing back across the Rio Grande.

I wonder if we could do an estimate of how much of Mexico's GNP comes from such inflows.

Regards, Ivan

A bit over-the-top aren't we? We may do some stupid things, but I'll take the US over anywhere else. May I buy you a one-way ticket to anywhere?

I don't believe I am over the top, I call them like I see them. I didn't say anything about any country being any better. You can keep your ticket, I am not in the habit of running away from anything.

Mexico is stupid when it comes to its economy but sane and clever with its history of one party dictatorships by dumping its left-overs on the USA. Then, those left-overs not only get back at Senor America but send money back to their families who spend it in Mexico. Stupid, evil, well, it beats our wussy reps who still think this question is all about the Statue of Liberty and sending us everybody's huddled masses!

Saying that we, the US, 'is the stupidist country in the history of the planet' seems a bit over-the-top to me. It also means that there must be somewhere better. The refusal of my offer must mean that, while things are not to your liking, it sure beats other places.

Yes, indeed! I worked at an inner city school in Dallas for 5 years and got a LOT of first hand experience with illegal aliens--along with a LOT of aggravation, frustration, etc.

Believe me, I know this is a SERIOUS problem. All the more reason to ENFORCE THE LAWS against illegals that are already on the books instead of tying our law enforcers hands and making them helpless!

I can't think of any other country Whose leaders refuse to stand up to a bunch of corrupt third world blow hards, or retreat in fear when a bunch of foreign revolutionarys take to our streets carrying flags of their home country.

Convince me the voters who keep re-electing them aren't stupid. I've been trying to educate people about what was coming across the border for years, most didn't want to hear it, or were content to sit on their hands, That too strikes me as stupid.

You can't think of a country? You're not trying hard enough. Also, the actions that people would like to see, may not be as easily carried out as we presume. It is easy to say that we would do something else, but reality may be otherwise.

The voters that keep voting Democrat or third party are really misguided. I was there once, so I know that they aren't stupid, just misinformed. I, like you, have been trying to educate people on a number of issues. Perhaps it is our manner that isn't effective, or that they aren't ready to hear it.
